reliable would have been a better choice of word use, there is no 100% garuntee you will parry an attack just by having enough crit to have say 15% or 20% passive parry, but shield block is 100% and its the thing we are known for doing anyways

dk an dh have an insane amount of parry and its built into how they play out

and i dont think someone would make the logical jump that crit = live more basically cuz not having face bashed in due to you parry it away, certianly, not on the character holding a giant sheet of metal and wood, that they use to block the attacks firstly.

@orchid mural there's never a time when you can't kick that spell, for what it's worth. The shield does not stop you from kicking anything, contrary to popular belief; the shield is just part of the maul mechanic - you break the shield to stop the maul. It is completely separate and does not interact with Battle Cry (other than Battle Cry making the maul do more damage if it goes off)

Hello friends. Checking some logs and it seems most good ST logs have around 22-24k haste, but sims are recommending me to go as low as 16k. Is this a case of something else than pure numbers (eg; survivability), or just people playing comfort and the the difference is marginal?

For pure dps listen to simbot. For sb uptime, especially in keys, you want to go considerably higher than 16k.

I was at like 21k with itf but it was still a bit spotty. Now i'm at like 26k or so and it feels a lot more comfortable. I often find now that I can hold shield charge for next pull rather than absolutely having to send it on cd etc.

Yeah might be chalked at that point then, i haven't had the issue but an eyebeaming dh might be too much at that point

But if a dh eye beams while they’re stunned usually a few will melt them

for what its worth i do hit thunderblast + shockwave + clap

so maybe that little bit of extra aggro is what makes the difference

It’s only ever dh or sometimes ret with wake but 90% of the time someone dies there it’s a dh

Dps is mostly irrelevant

Passive ravager procs a lot more which means more rage

It’s not really a choice atm, whirling blades is just flat out better

The best YOU can do is let the group move as far in as possible before you start hitting buttons

But thats all you can do

You can tell your team if they're playing the overcharged belt still to take off the single target option (that tends to be the most consistent thing that grabs it)

OTher than that, its p inconsistent and depends on whatever gets hit and its insanely cringe
