6k mastery is worse than 6k crit for survival straight up
That's pure feelycraft though, and is probably less true in raids. Mastery gives you attack power, so bigger individual IP casts (but not bigger cap), and more crit block chance. But crit gives parry which is great in keys, not to mention more damage than mastery (unless you have super low mastery)

I don't even track frenzy but I assume I have good uptime since theoretically if you have thrill of the hunt at 3 stacks, you should also have frenzy at 3 stacks since they are both from casting barbed shot and both last 12 seconds and stack 3 times. And frankly as pack leader you cast barbed shot like... a lot.
so you'd probably have to try to NOT have 3 stacks

Your cd usage is good, your rage waste is nonexistent, you're not taking a lot of hits to the back, your blocked hits are high
The one bad gameplay you have is that you're legit just never pressing Execute, which you should be pressing in single target over Revenge when in Execute range
Even without execute talents
Your revenge casts are high because you never press execute (which is understandable in aoe with your build but again, ST it still has prio over revenge)

I would suggest you play the weekly build that's on wowhead. If you keep playing like that (adjusting for execute usage with the different build), you'll be fine. Once you get to like...15/16 level you can start thinking about a more defensive build (I've done up to 14s and have not felt unsafe at any point)

I have been approaching it by dismounting as I approach the bridge, thunderclap the mob on the bridge, charge to a mob across bridge and clap again, then charge the caster, interrupt, then walk to miniboss, wait for most mobs to catch up and use TR for snap aggro
But people keep dying sometimes before I even get to the caster and wondering if I should be dismounted and clapping from the very start

In my opinion shield is the most important item. Even the 3 ilvl are a big upgrade. As upgrade for your helm you can always farm hero items or buy the mythic boe

If you care about damage, just sim yourself, survivability is a bit trickier, if you feel like you're dying it might be worth trying out the inerlopper boots and seeing if that makes it better or worse, but personally I would just run the myth track boots

Currently progging mythic Soul Hunters, and it feels like the most amount of damage I've ever seen. Of course we're like 5 pulls in, but it is making me think about defensive options a whole lot more, and how much use the HC cantrip boots have makes me wonder

Maybe general rot damage from everything else? Haven't done a log review yet as we got there yesterday, but I did notice that taking Fel Blade after Eye Beam isn't an option

along with the taunt timings could also be a rage management issue, take a look at your logs and make sure your rage is staying in the goldilox zone where youre not going below ~20 rage and not overcapping any rage. Cause if youre panick rage starving yourself after beam bleedout is gonna be a lot easier

I was like wtf, and the healer who wasn't the keyholder messaged me 10 min later saying the key got burnt anyway and they should have just stuck to my route
