Here's the straight up math though. Without shield specialization, with a 720 shield, I block 43.41% of damage in a mythic dungeon. With shield specialization, I block 47.09% of damage. That's before brace for impact ofc. With Brace x3, it's 46.87% without shield spec and 50.58% with shield spec.

So idc what you do with that information, but that's the actual numbers

Depends on what build you're running I suppose. The weekly key build does not take enduring alacrity. A lot of the higher key pushers don't run it either, but most are using shield spec so 🤷

Like for example, this is the build Sense ran in +14 Priory which is kind of in between the push build and the weekly build

Drops enduring alacrity and bloodsurge from the push build to take heavy handed and sudden death

which makes sense. Neither are super impactful talents but heavy handed by itself is a pretty good damage boost

I personally charge in the middle of the biggest pack with a good stomp or roar, use throws to pull outliers, and for those certain targets that I know people would switch to immediately I reserve my taunt. Some abilities such as the stomp or the axe throw generate high threat on their own, that aside, its up to you damage upkeep as most damage we do naturally generates more threat

most important with pulling is that you do your AOE abilities (thunder clap, blast, thunderous roar) and that you make sure to not get hit in the back

always be mindful of the kicks in a group, and how many casters you pull

On prio for example, I charge to the 4 mobs in the beginning thunder clap them, heroic leap on the patrol with the knight, thunderclap them

Ive always preferred playing classes/specs that like haste the most

crit is generally more dmg and more parry, making you really strong in aoe pulls

vers is mediocre for damage and damage reduction, it just works against everything in a linear fashion, not great not terrible

mastery is the little brother of crit, good in big pulls, mediocre for damage output
