I usually study up the routes with mdt, sometimes I’ll pull up the route on the fly in the addon to check forces for packs when my dps decides to butt pull
My 2nd monitor is too busy running my glorpy basslines to go full sludge mode to
mighty valley
you can just do “pull stuff in front of you” routes in lower keys a bunch while you’re gearing
then when routes start to matter, you’ll understand the maps

yes early in seasons you kinda patchwork routes on mdt by trying things without one, and you memorize as you play, don't worry if you have to open mdt mid key for 5 sec
i suggest to not open mdt mid combat unless you can play the spec without looking
