There's two things to keep in mind, as well. First is that all stats defensively are close enough that optimizing them is generally meaningless. The other is that the largest majority of your survival as a tank comes from your direct play. Tanks would not be living in 18s if hyper optimizing your atats was what was keeping people out of higher content. And even among those players, they often still make mistakes. It's just that not all mistakes are instant death and can be made as long as you don't make those important mistakes.
So generally, once you have some baseline stats down (enough haste to be comfortable with shield block, for example), you can just freely sim for damage among other pieces of gear (including trinkets if you opt for damage trinkets over survival)

You don't intentionally use demo shout and shield wall together. Ideally if you don't need more than demo shout, you would not use shield wall when demo is active. But if shield wall is active already, you would still send demo on CD because it gives you damage.

You circle your current mobs in order to face your next pack. But dont heroic leap, Z axis collision is weird and can get you deleted due to block/frontal calculations. Use charge instead or heroic throw.

You may need to make some choices to account for defensive coverage but I’m not sure I would say “struggle” is accurate
Also disc priests exist so you can just ask for a PS if there’s a particularly nasty overlap

The adds have a fixate that is up part of the time, it’s a debuff on a player you can see
You can intervene that player to help them in the short term but generally speaking threat is only relevant insofar as you are hitting them
The mechanics of the fight are designed to kill the adds and it’s the person with the fixate and / or charge who needs to position correctly to ensure they get killed
You could wholesale tunnel the boss and the fight wouldn’t be any different if you executed it properly
Which is actually exactly what you should be doing if you aren’t a funnel class

Not because of damage but because avatar = wall plus demo, they have the best defensive value when more mobs are hitting you so not only will it be a damage boost, it’s also safer defensively

If you have a dot on you the cooldown gets reduced, so depending on the dungeon mud could have its cooldown reduced a good bit but imo bombsuit being predictable just makes it far more functional

Your interrupt is irrelevant if your group is dead
But realistically troar and ravager are great gather tools
How much threat they do isn’t really relevant, just that they do enough to get initial aggro so you can gather for revenge
You can throw ravager on one group and troar another, then charge the third
Turn around and start sending revenge

Go check your sims. TC will have an average of somewhere around 5-6 seconds between casts from 1 up to 10 targets. Or generally 1-2 seconds after it's off CD.
There is an exception when you have a combination of CDs generating additional rage or back to back SS resets

I have only my very few tests to verify off of, but I was trying to test it out in game a month or 2 ago, following a prio of TC on CD vs a TC when rend application or when no other GCDs on both 3 and 5 target dummies I found a DPS increase with the former across 3 testing sessions, which follows the sim logic.
