There's not really a resource I can think of on how to use Warcraft Logs specifically, unfortunately. It helps to have a spec that you know how to play well at first or that someone can walk you through first. I'm actually going to go through one of Nick's logs once I get home from work, so I'll try to document my process for you
It'll help you figure out how I'm reading what he's doing and how I can translate that to his performance

For pulling 3-4 packs together, is it rly on the DPS to hold to not get threat? I heroic throw 1-2 packs then charge into other, then avatar clap demo shout when they get closer, but it's very easy for DPS to just start dotting or even healer aggro before everything walks in

since it's unrealistic to heroic throw every single enemy in every distant pack, healer aggro is inevitable if you can't physically go to the pack, you just gotta position yourself so you can hit them with something real on the way

Healler will need to actually babysit you but outside of the radiate move the miniboss does, there's not much else going on.

Unless you're focusing the damage intake on you in a very small time period, it's just less DR, so you were taking more damage. It would generally be better for very high keys where you have to do giga pulls in order to time, but otherwise, it was generally not useful or actively harmful with the timings for defensive CD rotations

I'm unsure what to pick in vault this week.
I have mythic legs (+1,2% dps increase in ST) and mythic Reverb Radio (+0,6% dps increase in ST). While legs seem like the most straightforward choice, I'm thinking that I should have many more opportunities to get myth legs from raid/vault.
On the other hand getting a better trinket than myth track reverb radio would require a lot of luck, since only myth Pacemaker outsims it for me right now, and I don't think I'll ever get a chance at myth track House of Cards/Eye of Kezan since I'm playing tank.
