I am on a flight
I am in a car
What I miss
dont text and drive sir
The ground. That's how you're flying
lol
Do you guys actually hit taunt as part of your ST opener? Or do you save if for if you need it in the handful of seconds of CD and use it reactively?
nah I was totally dumped with vers
its off gcd, you can weave it
but to answer your question, i dont often use it on the opener
It’s not whether it’s a loss of opener and more a question of if you should save it as a save in between when it would otherwise be up
Okay, same
its good for ST, as to get initial lasting threat
Making sure I’m not trolling
in a single target raid situation? yeah i press it, in what situation am I gonna need it again in a few seconds
When someone crits for 30mil 5 seconds into pull?
If I’m taking boss first I definitely taunt at start myself
there's no world that someone pulls off your initial burst with taunt's threat multiplier
and in the literal worst case scenario... heroic leap to reset taunt
it's not a huge thing but pressing it on pull hedges against people who fuck up their precast and jump the timer haha
yeah for sure, not on trash pulls
i need to save it for when the shaman goes fucking bananas on a non-prio target
man, the more i think about the DR thing on TL/demo, the more im convinced its useless
youre not even TCing that much as colossus
to make a palpable difference
yeah
at best youre massively desyncing demo
maaaaayyyyyyybe if the damage numbers are getting insane you need every dr% you can get
but i'd never drop anything beyond show of force/disrupting for it
every bottom section talent is gas
yeah maybe
but there's no way you're gonna prio pressing TC at any point as Colossus
you wanna do dam for other reasons
Do you get that reference?
like No Stranger to Pain and BrV
If you unlock t8 delves on one toon, are they unlocked on all?
yea

Not sure lol I just thought it was funny
It's from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The trick to flying is that you have to throw yourself at the ground and miss
lol love it
I don't think it says it in the movie so you wouldn't get it if you hadn't read the book
guys, since I can't find an answer to this matter what is the guideline to break alt 4pc for new 2pc? or as soon as ilvl is worth it? ty in advance
It sucks more than I do, and that's saying something

ty for the quick answer, I could not find an answer in the faq or guides
no worries,
wonder if I can do t8 delve at like 580something ilevel 👀
Yeah it'll be on the ole woyer
Ok so last time I was a warrior tank main like 10+ years ago the added 4x threat multiplier wasn’t a thing, is 400% threat gen an aura you get or just to the taunted target?
Or is this also old data
very old data
there are threat multipliers
but nothing you can control
just do more dps
dps = threat
So no 4x threat during taunt?
no
Right
there is 4x during taunt still
oh youre asking about taunt
my bad i thought you were talking in general
Is it just 4x to that target? Or is it aura
Sorry coming back from my question 5 min ago lol
as long as the debuff persists on said target
should be whatever has the debuff yea
It's during the 3 second fixate to that target (or shorter if it's DRed)
The aura is like 800% threat for damage from tanks, then taunt fixates for however long, and adds like a 4x multiplier to threat generated
There is a general tank threat modifier but it's not something that changes your gameplay in any way. It's just a permanent modifier while in any tank spec.
yeah
that was what i was going for, i just missed the part where he was talking about taunt
To quest on woyer or to take a nap, that is the question
i just ate nachos and am leaning towards nap, lol
Do people feel Colossus Tank survivability kinda suck … in +12 and higher?
no
More damage! More IP
Plus we got shield walls galore
Is Cinderbrew stein still bugged ?
Wdym?
I've read in multiple places the "shield allies" effect did not go off
Oh I didn't know that
very cute
What dungeons strongly favour kezaan this season?
avoiding it for ToP and workshop makes sense
Any where you can just stay in combat the whole time really.
and constant pulls
i was iffy on ML but after that first skip you can chain the whole way to the last boss, that makes sense
and i guess the cart
yeah the cart is probably the hit
priory rookery might suffer due to flight, and then falling down twice
so yeah id say ToP/Work/Rookery are the ones you would probably want to avoid using it
DFC well the cart part i guess, but thats just one part
who the FORK is voting for priory as best dungeon? is someone spam botting it?
disguisting
i want to farm 30x priories for no tome, for another season
🤮
rookery, you mean
yeah rookery, sorry
priory is 100% uptime or close to it 😄
im even fucking thinking about priory
haha
I got decently lucky and got it on run 56, 12ish after i got my signet
but I offered anyone who could swap to tank spec a firm handshake and a crisp 100 bucks if they swapped loot spec for it if they didn't need anything, and almost everyone was kind enough to do it
i just blame my character's GUID
I ended up getting it on my own but it was surprising how many were willing
I didn't actually offer money 😛
I was just nice about asking
yeah i should do that
when it did drop, i did give the two peeps who swapped spec 10k each just to celebrate 😄
even though it dropped for me
the problem is most people just want signets and they just think it'll decrease their chances due to a bigger pool
true, but in all 12 runs there was always one person who didn't need it, so hopefully you'll have similar luck
yeah maybe ill try it for my daily 2 to 5 runs
good luck king 👑
can't let rage cap, that's just good practice bro
thx, ill need that luck lmao
the reality of having too much rage at not getting the trinket to drop, and then dumping your rage on ignoring the pain of not getting it is just too real

i should just block my trinket slots
like a big ole black square every time i open my character sheet
every day: "fuck this game" -> alt + f4
Hey fam. Why are we haste crit? Does Crit help with blocking?
*not enough
No. Gives damage and parry
love pug tanks trying to round up a pull after being cocky af "just obey"
and then proceeds to die 6sec into gathering cuz he had the bright idea to leap into the middle of 15 mobs
proceeds to leave the key immediately despite still being on +3 pace
alrighty then
I HAVE RETURNED.. BRIEFLY. what the fuck happened
i heard down the grapevine we uses colossus now
happens all too often
yes we are colossus gamers Scatter
Only the OGs have been colossus enjoyers since s1
whats everyone's revenge keybind, Mine is shift+e, which was kind of okay s1 (I honestly didnt press it but I also didnt do more than weekly 10s) but now, my wrist hurts
hey i did colossus vault keys last season
3
3
whats 1 and 2?
1tc
2 empty
3 revenge
4 shield slam
5 demolish
that was a b-plot and you know it, the a-plot was the BSV wars
damn maybe I should make the switch
lol
wait is there still a bsv civil war
most people I talk to use, 1-4/5 for rotational abilities, but mine is q, e , f r basically
Nah bsv is more easily pickable as Colossus
o
Since indom is garbage as Colossus
prot warrior goes from dom to sub haha u get it because indom hahahahahahahahahaha hahahaha
im popular irl

That's some crazy shit
I mean, carpal tunnel isnt that bad
revenge is 4 for me
3 for me
Revenge is 1 for me
shield charge, shield slam, revenge, shield block, tc, heroic throw are my 1-6
;0
/be cute
2 shield charge, 3 shield block, 4 revenge, 5 shield slam
pick one
SS1, all the way through to 8. Top row is shift 1-shift4. Rightside is e,shift e, r, left is q, and shift q
Should probably fix my talents
Oh it’s hamstring I think since 1 is far away for me
Why is it far away for you :sus:
I'm preparing to judge
Oh my
I didn't realize that Barbaric Training got a redemption arc
are there any bosses in heroic raid where you would run a punish build instead of a jugernaut execute one?
Oh I have to find a button for demolish rip
typical priory

had speed too
Nim, why are we using Instigate instead of Bloodsurge in M+ now
ESDF movement
teach me o wise one
Oh
needs big pulls all the time to match up
if you go bloodsurge, your rage intake will lack on bosses
OH WAIT demolish is on 1
this guy
i do bloodsurge on priory though
and Nome said indom is bad for colossus, why is that
big pull dungeorinos like priory and cinderbrew are good with bloodsurge
It was already nerfed and colossus rage income is lower
indom was bad since tww released
and what Harrow said
we just took it as thane cause rage intake is huge
it sucks donkey nuts as colossus
I've barely touched the expansion at all so I'm behind on my information
Hey guys quick question
TWW release nerfed leech etc
Did they nerf something yesterday?
no
collossus feels a bit off as arms aswell
I vaguely remember that part
well
ive been spamming priory
and i can see my dps
its the same
for both nights
ok tyty ^^
.
Wild that they kept bloodborne as 2 points though
yeah bloodborne is in a weird state
cause they nerfed bleeds for this season
so basically bloodborne is never worth
so are you dropping indom for battering ram, or is that for bsv? it takes indom in the wowhead M+ build for colossus
indom for battering ram after 4pc
gotcha
ok think I'm set then since I don't have 4pc or even 2pc
👍
thats about it, those are the only variations
should i just rush to priory 30th tonight?
Oh shit, does this work even when it's dr?
yes it does
huge
I'm picking up what you're putting down
lmao yea
thats kind of there because of arms
tbh
idk its weird, so thats the only explanation
scuse me while I drop that whirlwind on my bar
It's gonna be so weird pressing TC as little as you do w/ colossus after multiple expansions of pressing it on CD
you get used to it really fast
its back to legion prot
colossus = legion prot
thane = bfa prot (but does less damage for some reason)
thats kind of it
I'm about to push some 14/15s on pwar. Is there any talent that I should consider apart from general colosus tree?
Was playing bsv on 13's alllready
So I just use general stuff and hope stuff dies asap, cool
So, I got Trashmaster Mantle (cloak all vers) mythic in my vault but I have a heroic trashmasters with leach or I could get stonefury vambraces haste/mastery mythic when I have Secret-dredger's Armplates with socket crit/haste. I dont raid only mythic+ so any advice would help, even though I know its no crazy upgrades.
I assume Ilvl is best but wasn't sure how much one cares about leech
Anyone know how much loot is affected by dying in delves? I see it mentioned that it does in multiple articles but no specifics
Loot is unaffected unless you run out of lives
if you run out of lives and finish a bountiful delve, the bountiful chest at the end will be ruined and you wont get anything from it. Best to just leave the delve and try again if that ever happens
tertiaries are not worth considering
unless ilvl is the same
even then secondaries are more important than tertiaries
its in the name
did you die?
do yall think bounding stride is worth it in m+?
Depends how often you need to leap. It's quality of life, really. So can drop for something else imo.
Yeah, got hit by a mechanic I couldn't see; swirlie spawned under the ground and apparently was a 1-shot mechanic from one of the elites
1-shot at my ilevel anyway
665 gally shield or 675 crafted shield? not sure how much of a difference the dps is and if its worth the defensive drops
Shield is always ilevel
i figured i just wasnt sure if the proc on the gally shield was worth it
It's a good shield, but it's not going to make up for the survival benefits of 10 ilevels on that slot
unless you're doing trivial content, then do whatever I suppose haha
For sprocket, should I run thane for higher st execute?
damn
I was very careful after that because the map was really bad for it; it was the ability where they like throw presents on the ground
i hit my 28th priory
im guessing if i dont get it on my 30th im just gonna forget about it
so will prob do those last 2 tomorrow

I can see pros & cons of both so I’ll ask the community, What’s better, mountain thane or colossal & why……. GO!! 🤣🤣
You are only gonna get 1 response here
Lay it on me, I’m not going to judge or laugh at anyone. I’m honestly interested in what people think & I love to theorycraft
the answer is colossus, there is no discussion to be had
Why? I’m all ears
why would we be worried about your reaction
is letting rogues restealth a dps boost overall?
We don’t use iron wire
Who the fuck uses that anymore
i mean on a high key it could be worth having the extra stop
but if yall playing with VDHs then i can see why not to pick it
If you play with assa using it, kick them
Only difference in assa atm is bleed build and low prio dmg or lots of prio in hybrid
cleave build not viable rn for sin?
It’s still a dps increase btw to give them stealth
overall or just for the rogue?
this sounds like rogue propaganda
For the rogue, so basically plan route where you pull everything in an area.
Only reason rogue should be brought in push key is to prio dmg. Prio dmg means give them restealth. Basically assa great atm, in premade. Just ignore pug assa. Take sub or outlaw
so only sin has the restealth increase or?
They all do
is it classwide?
gotcha
its been a minute since ive touched rogue, probably since bfa
Restealth increase is still less dps than chainpulling (properly)
Every spec and hero tree loves restealth but sub and outlaw play trickster who can do their damage just fine if you can’t restealth easy
i see
I’m pretty sure assa will eventually even star playing without subterfuge and that will make my distinction irrelevant in the coming weeks. BUT that’s not what assa in general pkays atm. TLDR fuck em, chain pull
Every consensus I've seen on it is that restealth is nice but not the end of the world like every rogue player makes it out to be
Yeah outlaw, if they are still playing crackshot/HO, would lose damage, but I think they also get two vanishes now in TWW
lmao i had some rogues rage in DF
same
Had some guy absolutely flame me cause I wouldn't let him restealth
Yet it's only a small dps loss
and not even a dps loss if you're chainpulling anyway
I think sims put NO STEALTH EVER AT ALL at like -15%
which is big but obviously you're gonna get SOME restealths in a key
- vanish
- chainpulls
Regardless of their reason, never give in to your puggers' demands
Especially if they're a rogue or druid or mage
Fucking ISPs man lol. Dude was about to bail on me.
lol wat
I was resetting the modem, which he told me to do. Came back and right after it reconnected, he sent that last message trying to bail XD
im so confused, isnt that a text msg?
That's not a dude
that's a robot
could be a chatbot yea
No, it's a guy. He's just using preset messages
I mean, that's fair
But yeah I had to actually wait for this guy; that's the only way I know he's real tbh because all his messages were just scripted. Might as well have been talking to AI though.
Probably just has a macro board or something that spits out his shit
Yeah, on their website chat
thats the part im confused about
ohhh i get it now
my modem also takes 2 hours to reboot for some fucking reason
so i feel that
Oh yeah it takes forever nowadays
ive asked to see if i could replace it but... apparently they feel its fine or w/e
idk

Well, this will kill 2 birds w/ 1 stone because I have old equipment I need to turn in as well

It's probably a bad line though. We had a bad storm a few weeks back that knocked out service, and the wiring in this building is garbage (even the electrical wiring)
Wouldn't be surprised if it's all crimp fittings
bro ive had friends with issues where nodes overheat due to... well, heat
XD
and their connection becomes unusable
Our pedestal outside looks like it's been through the war, and then another war
So I got Capo's Molten Knuckles from the weekly TW cache. Is that any good compared to any similar ilvl weapon? I notice it doesn't have any secondary stats.
and then calling an ISP to explain such a thing is ridiculous
its whatever
slightly better dps on ST
slightly
any hero/myth track will beat it of course
Yeah
and less stats for a measly gain just means slightly worse defensively
but at champ level, it doesnt matter
Not even a nice transmog 😦
The switch 2 makes me think of phone companies releasing the next phone
Here's this phone; it looks just like the old one and pretty much does the same thing, but it's new!
Now with less of everything, but we made it faster on this rando bench test we made up and control. Buy buy seasonphone26

to be fair...
I just can't afford that shit anymore, and it's not like I have a bad job. But my phone payment is literally 1/3 more than it should be right now just due to my phone payment because they're $1500-2000 now
I do like that they are making the switch more accessible for streamers without having to have a ton of extra hardware
but... im probably not gonna insta buy it on release
im guessing ill wait for either metroid or duskbloods to buy it
By then it might be $100 per game
since its likely silksong will be on PC
They already said the new Mario Kart will be $80
Greed, why you ask
thats just excessive
Because they can, and because there's talk of video games in general going up to $100
well its not the first time they go up to that range
but yeah...
i aint paying premium for something thats just mario kart open world
Indeed
But I also can't see me paying $450 for a handheld console limited to exclusive games
Well not exclusive but you get what I mean
im more upset about the switch 2 having a fromsoft exclusive
I have to play what's supported
at least their exclusives are also bangers
but lately the only ones that appeal to me are the zeldas and metroid + duskbloods
Only thing I wanna hear from FromSoft is Bloodborne on PC already; idk how the fuck it's taking this long
so i cant justify forking 450 right off the bat to wait
dont worry we'll get duskbloods on pc in like 15 years
bloodborne on pc wont happen until a remaster happens ps5 since sony has a huge share
and they are fucking sitting on a cash printer for some reason
either way i aint buying it, i have the OG
now announce Bloodborne 2 and ill do the Fry meme
likely but theyll draw it out
ngl, if they do make a Bloodborne 2 and it's only on console, I might actually have to buy a console
Well, a PS5, specifically. I already have a PS4, though I'm not sure if it works; it's just been collecting dust for the last like, 6 or 7 years
i have a ps5 already at least
I'm coming over to your house then
🏃♂️
It's only like 24 hours away or something
ez
Evening. My guild is progging H sprocketmonger. How are y'all handling the taunt swaps on that boss? The cleanest method seems to be after every party pack, but my co-tank is a dh and gets blown up if he has more than 6 stacks. Right now, I am just taking every party pack and he is getting into the high teens with stacks before intermission. he says he's fine with it, but I don't believe him.
Hi Friends, at what stage do we drop Circlet?
whenever it gets outsimmed
I guess the better question there is then is that usally aroudn the Myth track mark?
I only ask as I have Cauldron Ring Hero Track and then jsut got Darkflames ring Hero Track which are BIS but they are simming less than Circlet
probaly yes, myth track with perfect stats
Okay thanks for your help
Myth Jasper never happening unfortunately haha.
dinars
You're a dinar
Isnt that a while into the season tho
gottem
yeah but thats not never heh
when are we even getting dinars
does anyone have the macro for the tome of light's devotion handy?
the on use stuff
ahh my tank friend was talking about a macro to get dbl stacks or something on it i have it set to use the on use
bet ty
there's no double stacks, its just trinket management
unless its an exploit of some kind
which is against the rules of this discord
ahh okay so forcing it into the dmg phase after it shifts use its on use to swap it back to dmg
maybe he was meaning a weak aura to track it
Why not just take turns on the party packs? that's what I did in a pug and it was fine
hi folks, imma looking for some guides, what about yoda?
it's fine but considering how bad his previous guide was I'd be weary. Read https://discord.com/channels/148872210742771712/1266837564925673596
I think that would be the cleanest way to do it. but my co-tank can't handle that many stacks every time. Supposedly, dh's are really struggling with that mechanic. Apparently the 7 or 8 stacks that come out between every pack is too much. Do I just tell him to git gud?
Probably
idk tho I'd ask the dh discord if it's supposed to truck that hard or if he's doing something wrong
Yea that's not true. They are just not using a cd surely. I know I wasn't using a cd properly first couple tries and it exploded my arse
Thats my next step. He's super new to tanking, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing something wrong.
nah Colossus is better in m+
Last tier our set bones synergised well with thane. Now its crazy good with colossus
Yeah it's just cause thane is easier to live with if you're new
but just learn to use your shit properly and col is way better
Ew spear
Ew ravager over budget cheat death
Thane is arguably easier and you survive easier. Colossus is for DPS essentially but still defensive of course.
Am I trusting SIM over trinket tier list? I got a normal eye of kezan which clearly is bis. Then I have a lock n stalk heroic track and the drink one heroic track. The eye and drink are simming higher. And higher than reverb trinket
Kezan isn't good for m+ but raid it wins I know
I would never pick anything over ravager
I love ravager but i cant really use it in 12s
If you need BSV I'd rather drop battering ram but that's just me
but I guess either's fine
The dialog earlier was a beginner setup anyways. Wont need cheat death.
I drop battering ram to have cheat death and ravager
My bad battering ram
Battering ram is better than rav with 4pc
So if u drop anything its rav or if u havent already indom
im very very hyped for joycon mouse metroid
i hope its not assbad for no reason
i also smell the possibility of joycon mouse splatoon
Is it not a different tool (or maybe crutch in my instance) for a different job?
Does the 2p SW proc also trigger Avatar if you have UO talent?
Not ingame to test this
no
This was meant by UO talent right? Thought it worked with 2p, sadge
If only
I just got 4pc yesterday so maybe I swap it up for this then
is there any negatives to having a mouseover charge?
Sometimes i intervene my cotank
Intervene has little value on colossus
Last season as thane, intervene was a massive reason some of my healers and dps didn’t die
It’s still a good defensive in some keys, for example packs with many archers
Quick question; just how impactful/crucial is having a proper amount of Haste for the spec, both gameplay/experience wise and performance wise? Currently lacking a lot while gearing up, and just wondering what to expect 😄
its the only stat that matters
Fwiw, I kinda gathered that, and I think I understand why. Just trynna figure out exactly what kind of difference I'll be seeing in practice, considering I've currently got about half the amount of Haste rating I should
If that's a nonsensical question/way of thinking, then mb"
!*
hard to quantify
youll have more rage, more access to shield walls, more avatars
more outbursts
ye
Ait, good to know. I've managed that my rage gen can suddenly stall completely for 2-5 seconds, unless I proc a Shield Slam, and while it's probably it large due to me doing shit the wrong way, I also feel like it certainly doesnt help that I have 9k Haste rating
Yeah, definitely still trying to finding out the balance on that, both in terms of CD timings (relative to gameplay and rage spending) and with figuring how much I can pull where
I pretty much have no idea how much anything hurts for tanks, so it's very much finding out as I go
😛
#healerlife
Iirc one of the guides said to send IP on 60-80 Rage in general, idk if that's accurate/a good rule of thumb tho
Ah, yes, that was yours
😄
(Ty btw, good guide!)
I think I do tend to spend a bit too much on IP, but sometimes it feels like I have to with my other CDs not coming up as fast as they could
oh I never thought about it with the 4pc interaction, is it better in terms of rage gen over the span of a key too?
Could also just be me pulling more than I should relative to what I have up for the pull
like, does the rage gen from shield charging more cause of the tier set make up for the loss of rage from ravager?
my current strategy has just been to limit test... constantly, more or less
I feel sorry for the pugs I'm in, but pulling small and safe aint gonna teach me much imo
I mean, just press IP if you're about to overcap rage or if it's about to fall off
other than that your big dam builds it up enough
You're not using Into The Fray with that amount of Haste are you?
Oh, I am
yeah that'll kill you
you need haste for itf to be good
If you don't have 18k haste (afaik you can get away with 16-17k with 4pc) you can't maintain 100% uptime on your Shield Block with ITF
if your Shield Block is falling off you're losing all your mitigation
switch to Heavy Repercussions til you get more haste
Oh, okay!
Will do that
Cause that's the main thing I've struggled with so far
Mitigation wise
Having to cover SB with IP
your dps will go down a little bit, but a dead tank does no damage
yeah IP dont work like that
Yeah you'll have 100% uptime with HR
as long as you smash shield slam as much as possible
I mean, if I dont have SB stacks to use, surely it's better to make sure IP doesnt fall off?
obviously, the talent swap probably addresses that anyway
(at least that's the impression I got)
Shield block needs to be up 100% of the time you're in combat in m+
or you go splat
No I meant more like if you don't have SB up, IP will be nearly instantly depleted
they work in tandem
^ Oh yeah, I know. Hence my earlier admission about likely spending too much rage on IP
I meant to say that I felt like I've been doing that, but it's also felt necessary
cause Haste and all that jazz
Yeah it's just problematic to think of having to cover for SB in the first place
For sure. It's not like it felt good or ideal
IP is like the icing on the cake of prot warrior's defensive kit
was more like... what else do I do when I dont have shit up right?
Fwiw, I'm still gearing up and havent started touching key levels that actually hurt yet
so havent really caused many issues yet
My last guild was named "Do Whatever and Panic" so it's a vibe
Hahahah
Love that
Hell, 80% of the shit I've fought in my +7-10s so far dont deal damage to me even if SB isnt up
Yeah Shield Block is the foundation
Indeed
if you don't have it, you fucked up
unless you're cotanking in raid or something
downtime is acceptable then
I have to admit, it did feel weird to not be able to have 100% uptime comfortably
but this explains it
It's pretty tough to get 18k haste too so you'll be stuck with HR for a while
ITF feels great once you get the haste tho
getting 18k haste to sim well is even harder
btw that's 18k before buffs
easyer to play tank or dps in raid?
raid tanking is the easiest role in the game
however if you fuck it up people will hate you
no mistakes allowed
18k before ITF* You can use buffs to reach that goal
at work, cant check in game atm
Really? I was always told it's the pre-buff number that matters
no problem i tanked for long time before DF. mechanics are easy. just hate that noone want to take me in HC as dps. have AotC last tier and 664 GS.
Trynna understand how More Haste = more SB
has to be some component that affects recharge rate or whatnot?
nah you'll have like .5-1sec gaps in SB uptime every 45sec between SC CDs before you get 4p up from 18-20k but that's nothing
and once 4p is online it's a non issue
That makes sense
SB cooldown is reduced
at 18k + ITF it's reduced enough that combined with all your other things that give you shield block (like shield charge) you can maintain 100% effective uptime
Okay, that makes sense! Ty 😄
is there a WA that tells you when SB procs/is up? i realy dont know how to use WA and tryed to wirte it myself but it sucks XD
I bet if you looked up shield block tracker on wago you'd get a hit
what is wago?
You can track the button + buff on a single aura or do what I do and have bars for the charges and track the buff
ah okay. just got soem WA that destroys my interface caus they overwrite everything thats why i asket spezific for this 😄
yeah I scavenged his pretty good
I posted it here before and people hated it
but I'm old so it has to be huge cause I'm blind
Oh I feel that
I didn't play wow for like 6 years and when I opened it for the first time since I had to increase font sizes everywhere lmao
and all of these is klickable or able to bind?
I installed a cursor enlarging addon lol
They're just icons that track the cooldowns
they're still on the normal actionbars
yeah CursorTrail is a godsend too
and you dont show your actionbar then? or do you have all twice on screen?
yeah I hide my actionbars
see that's my issue with class packages, I just design my elvui profile to what WAs try to emulate
I mean yeah you can just shove your actionbars up there
but you can't order the icons freely without moving the keybinds lol
and can you tell elvui to just change actionbars? i hate the bag interface of elv thats why i deinstaled after 5 sec XD
I guess that is one convenience
yeah you can enable/disable specific features as you please
honestly just use bartender and masque
or dominos/whatever
hiding actionbars was the best thing I ever did tho
Can't say I've even touched bartender since the 2000s
It's not great but it uses the least resources out of any standalone actionbar addon ime
also lets me hide some other ui elements
like the micro menu
yeah micro menu is ugly as sin
instant disable on my end too
Though learning the hotkeys for everything took a while
I still find myself just pressing random hotkeys to get to what I want
but it's whatever
lol
Why are we dropping indom? Does it suck now? Havent really read up on changes as ive mained healer the past weeks
Pretty sure itsbeen ass
It hasn't been ass, but it's taken repeated nerfs
From the donk at the start of TWW to the rage adjustments overall to Colo generally being the go-to pick, which just gens less rage than Thane,
You just aren't spending as much rage as before, and you aren't getting as much value per rage spent
That’s me, Helpful Chicken
It’s one of the expensive points, and the benefit is not worth, beyond leech
What isn't tracked properly? Cause I can take a look, to see if I can fix what isn't working 🙂
Hey guys, I’m in process of crafting my 675 shield. Are there any enchantments and embellishments you recommend?
What is your plan for mythic + big pull especially at begining without rage and IP ? When I tried to pull 3-4 packs I take a lot of DMG during the setup... Mobs are not pack etc....Once I'm in place it's ok but before it's a nightmare.
Pop shield wall.
If you’re not in a good position when it runs out… you have another shield wall.
Starting with charge into shield charge gives you a decent starting point rage wise as well
I think, if u want a stat trinket. Delve Lena should be the aim, not the garbo signet
HoC would be a nice pick for the coins I guess
it's fine, I just misunderstood how the trinket worked at the time, I thought the on use would always advance the book by exactly 50 pages so I wanted the page buff tracked too
Ah ok 👍
tracking page number might be useful sometimes but idk
Will look into it later today, should be easy 🙂
do we never click rend
Correct, we never clock rend
anyone using indom for MT? i know we have taken it off on col because its doo doo.
Its better fo MT u gen more rage
can we few MT's leave it off? ive been enjoying the flex point there.
Sure
i take the other stam point as mt aswell. idk 2% haste just seems better to me
isnt that just one point now?
it is
Could u swap indom for battering ram for mythic plus
finally
Once you get 4pc,100%
I want to take Champions Spear talent, what is the dps loss if i remove thunderous words in AOE ? Do you know ? Not sure which talent remove instead
just sim it out
Do you mean taking spear with roar?
The loss here will be highly dependent on how you pull
If you are pulling large packs the entire dungeon then dropping tw would probably add up to quite a bit of damage lost over the course of an entire dungeon but for a single fight like a boss you can sim that with varied fight times
Due to the fast pace of pwar how do you feel about groups with rogues?
Game rewards chain pulls a ton as long as group is healthy and heal mana is ok. And DPS just wanna zug
Which shield do we craft?
You only need to drop combat for like 1 second
You will gain far more net dps by just letting combat drop for a sec then hitting the next pack
No, and honestly the only reason vdh made it was because of the influx of players. I believe last season prot pally discord made one becuase of the player influx
It's gonna hurt? Send SW, no SW or its spellblockable? Send spellblock instead, no SW/SB up? Demo shout/Last stand/imp victory. Thats all
Keep shield block up
If phys - shield wall
If magic - spell reflect/spell block
Ignore pain make healer go ooh-la-la
If group dying press rally
If you dying press last stand
Thank you for reading my warrior defensive guide
More like strat for 7s
For high keys you need to cluster defensives and heal needs to be smart
Când survive BigMomma with only SW in 13s
As colossus revenge is our major rage dump right? For big dam
My first heroic Sprocketmonger. Would Execute MT do even more on him? I used the Col Execute build here
Yes you generally will choose between revenge and ignore pain, depending on how badly you’re getting the shit kicked out of you
not really, only cast IP if your about to overcap on rage
Thanks. I finally got the courage to run something over a 2. Felt like I had a ton of rage since my IP was capped
The best way to see if you're a good tank is go to ML 3rd boss with a PuG healer. Good luck
Otherwise its always revenge, and having enough rage for SB
In higher level keys there are definitely times when you are slamming ip over revenge
In lower level keys yes you can just zug revenge for comical levels of damage
In this scenario, what is "higher level" for you?
For high keys you should already have experience from playing lower keys and knowing how and when your CDs rotates for specific tankbusters or other dangers
^
I’d say 14 is where I started noticing that I need to IP more to keep myself healthy?
You don't survive some tank busters alone. See above
It's not Dragonflight anymore
It's just math, not experience
For example on any key at 13/14+ with stacking debuffs you can’t clear im full sending ip
Cinderbrew mean mug comes to mind if the pack takes too long to die, a few floodgate pulls too
ML 13 3rd boss hits for 6M fire every second after your mitigation. Kinda insane
Motherlode 3rd boss is an anomaly as it literally only does unblockable magic damage
You can game this by staying in melee range as much as possible and when she casts searing is very predictable so you can wall/reflect to help a lot
After mitigation aka 20% MDR + IP - that's all you got
+6% if you talented
Kinda insane boss, wants to be kited lmao
If you get out of melee she spams that searing Azerite shit
And usually heals come with CD down after Mastermind fights
For refrence, I'm not saying never cast IP, just that in most scenarios and situations, even in high keys, casting it only to avoid wasting rage is generally enough. There are ofc outliers and bosses/pulls where you need to cast more IP
Otherwise she does it on the pull and at the end of every cycle (right before you move)
Fair
The game is trolling me and gave me house of cards on the only character I don’t want it on
Sometimes I dunno if you guys are talking about 7s or 14s
Game turns into IP spam after 12
I dunno about spam
But definitely a lot more often
Blood channel mobs if Floodgate is IP spam, else you die
Collosus dmg plateaus after 13s since you die if you don't dump rage into IP
Hey , got little problem … I feel bored at prot pala and a bit squishy and thinking about changing to prot war . How is compared now with pala ?
Despite this archon m+ tier list I'm only mad if it's a hpal or healer dragon in my group
Prot paladin is better than Prot warrior, but Prot warrior is more durable if that’s what your looking for
Prot pala got much more utility …
It does, that’s what makes it better
But Prot warrior is much more durable
Atleast to physical damage
Are you in 0.1% of players to make that statement?
Do I need to be in the 0.1% to be able to understand the tanks strengths and weaknesses?
For the record, especially for tanks, there are some of the guide writers who have never gotten m+ title. Does that mean their opinion is worthless?
Some of the guide writers for tanks hate the class discords
Dorky says it all the time
Are you referring to Kyrasis? I value his opinion way more than Archeus/wohead/iceyveins for bdk
Which part?
man is literally a lexicon of misinformation
He literally has statistical models and regressions for his reasoning. How is that misinformation?
cuz theyre faulty
How? I’ve yet to see an argument beyond “they’re faulty”. I would actually love to see one
reject guides, follow vibes
mans only explanation why something is good or bad is "because i said so"
his models have cells that refer to themselves
I genuinely don’t understand why people are like “are you in the top 0.1% to make that claim”
there was extensive work done against his models in SL
"if youre not the racecar driver how come you can know about the mechanics of the car"
If I was in the 0.1% I wouldn’t be playing Prot warrior
Who is a lexicon of misinformation
From what I understand, all of his suggestions are based on key success rate. He literally suggests what talents have the strongest correlation with timed keys
Kyrasis? Never heard of them. If I have a bdk question I refer to Mandl/blood channel in the discy
thasts not how data works
youd need 10s of thousands
of points of data
not 10-15
I am literally a statistician. He has thousands of data points
when theres only like 5 people playing keys on bdk

either way
his info is barely info
I mean blatantly wrong, and he uses logged runs.
i think what he wants to say is that when player A does 100 successfull runs and player B and C only 10 then his data doesnt check if from the 120 runs 100 were done by the same player
same group and everytrhing
how many other factors could also play into key success
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than talents
Is this similar to all the Venge players running aldrachi even though the other one is a certified blaster hero talent tree
yea
actual mechanical skill
especially taken that when you watch a stream of one of these top players and when he gets asked why he runs talent X and his answer is "huh, i'm just used to it and i like it. i dont think its a good talent but i'm just so used to how it feels"
group, some level of rng
I saw a video recently where it was brought up that like, class discords operate a lot on theoretical stuff whereas other sources operate more on practical stuff. The math wizards here can tell you what talents or whatever are mathematically superior but that doesn’t always match what “top tier” gamers practice when they’re actually doing the keys
How real is that? Are the people not following the math just 100% wrong?
Or is there good reason to follow the vibe check even if the math says not to?
if you like it more
plya it
its a game
the practiucality thing is
flat out wroing
This guide was created for BDKs (Blood Death Knights) progressing in challenging M+ (Mythic+) dungeons (+8’s and above); some recommendations presented herein were not made for use in raid or PvP scenarios, which can have different priorities and considerations. Furthermore, it assumes the user is capable of playing a BDK reasonably well and that they are able to obtain reasonably competitive gear. Furthermore, the use of all tier set bonuses is generally assumed.
While this guide was primarily made with +8 and higher key levels in mind, the recommendations (particularly those concerned with playstyle) can also be used for success in key levels below this point
His data set concist of all logs of dungeons at 8 or higher for his season 1 regression analysis
both sides like to reee about the other, there is merit in both points of view and vehemently defending one side is just bad imo
^
Unless there is only 15 players posting the 10's of thousands of runs, I'd say thats plenty of data points. I'm not going to say more, I don't want to start an arguement. I just dislike how quick people are to dismiss and attack the other
small talent changes < getting practice and having friends who are good at the game
the end
100%
id say the truth is always somewhere in between. if something is grossly mathematically better ppl will switch naturally since it is "feelable" but if its only 1-2% ppl will play whatever feels best for them
its also fed by no interaction
between the 2 groups
its just hearsay
between twitch chat and discord
not actual conversation
yeah, good example for me is trying to play totemic enh this season - if you can play it comparably, witch doctor is a significant increase over flowing spirits
but I'm a washed oldhead, and adding another CD to track / button press feels just outside of my current ability to play it
frost witch is easy tho
so I perform better in general using the passive talent
oh yeah, frost witch is fine
okay i thought it was just a language barrier thing
this is the passive vs active spirit wolves
you do for totemic
yaya ye
had to log onto my enha to check which ones specifically
i dont like the rng wolves
dmg swings are random af
true - but I just deal 😄
tried real hard to play active wolves, something about it just pushes me into overload, start dying everywhere / screwing up the other windows with sunder/pwave
Question, forgot to check back the last time I asked this. Do we sit battle stance anymore?
Currently theres no negative to D stance, besides not having the crit bonus that Bstance has (if that even counts), so unless you want to amp your damage more and feel safe, there is no reason to go to Bstance
Oooooo. I forgot dstance used to nerf us lol
I only really use bstance when I'm in absolutely zero danger whatsoever
delves/raiding farm stuff/helping friends in small keys etc
Honetly, I forget to swap to bstance even when i'm not tanking in raid
there's optimization to be had where you hop in and out depending on when damage is low but like... 3% crit is often not worth the mental load in content where you're having to use your brain
yeah. Raid tanking is generally easy but you still gotten focus
I had been in Bstance this whole time and I just started 12s yesterday
I saw the video too, you have to keep in mind people have bias (the video emphasizes on stereotypical imagery), yeah it happens that math is wrong with real practice, that’s why you don’t follow blindly sims on context needy stuff
If you followed sim last season you would have played colossus in m+
I don’t need to say more
who posted this video, i kinda wanna see it
The argument made about the topic is just class discord hate cheat deaths or smth else so they are annoying basically
It is something recurrent in the podcast
So I would say the stereotype is kinda true in some dudes, bc I witnessed so many ganks on someone asking something about BSV
I watch poddyc
But a lot of their bias against discords is unfounded
We don't hate dorki here
Yes but the bias has arguments outside the bias Nim
He's one of the few streamer tanks that actually plays warrior correctly consistently
S1 some were OBNOXIOUS against BSV
Naowh also at times
Discords are ahead of the mainstream when it comes to most things in my opinion. For example we been playing haste crit for literally over a year before now everyone doin it and versa lords losing their minds when Nome was speaking truth. Many more examples too
Yeah but see that's the problem
guys, what is shield blokc max duration ?
Dorki, etc are mdi/tgp players
24 seconds
A lot of what they say exists in their circles only
So it's hard for us to help them in any way, most of our advice won't fit
So you can sstack 24 second duration before it's wasted ? Does shield block and shield charge stack ? Like it adds to each tohers ?
I think he got harassed by 1 or 2 dudes so everyone takes
If you have bolster can get up to 39 seconds in theory
Yeah that's understandable
That’s my thinking bc when he explains I’m like wtf on few things
Like streamer - non member hatin
I was, yeah I saw 1-2 dudes here doing that, but not really a lot
I haven't watched or heard that episodes, I'm like 2 episodes behind
I'll get back to you when I do
But usually, their view is tank discords only care about damage, and they ain't wrong
But the reality is that people here are not in the extreme top end
And even when we suggest defensive options, which are backed by math, they are not considered versus feelcraft options
See treemouth vs fyraak heart
It's a community thing in general, not just discord
Yeah
People put a lot of value on tank dmg and it's real weird
Just different perspectives clashing
I don't think it's weird like I just explained
We're not in the bleeding edge of "will I survive"
But it is fun to hear stereotypes you can recognize / the point of the video, good episode imo
Don't get me wrong, it's great to have but it shouldn't be top priority... and many seem to think if you are parsing 95+ you're good
When in reality you are just in battle stance and hitting IP less and execute more and making it your healers problem.
I don’t watch every episodes / when I’m raid logging idc about wow
And 99% of the people here are nowhere near the level of a dorki, or a kira
In terms of damage taken
So why not focus on damage when everything we do is survivable
Yeah but thats a related point, I'm talking in more general terms
Something along the lines of parse cheesing
Why is Col used for Sprocketmonger? Isn't MT execute build more damage than the Col Execute build in st, which Sprocketmonger is?
Which is kinda looked down upon here believe it or not
nope
Despite the memeing the other day
also swapping between something you're playing super regularly to a different spec for a niche fight for very marginal difference is probably CBA for majority of people
Both are way closer (relative to my disc name which is 5t sim of my char) on ST, but col is still ahead
Can you elaborate more? I was under the impression from Nome that with execute in particular, that MT did more damage? That's why he reccomonds that for One-armed bandit and mug'zee? Or was that wrong
those were also early season takes
u can do more during execute phase as thane
because u have more rage
u dont do more damage
Yeah executed don’t matter as much now when it doesn’t last that much
yeah but what if you make the fight 45 minutes long eh
Sprocket dies before it matter now
The difference is so low
