This trinket has 2 parts, the default tooltip is only 50% of what it does:
Shield Mode:
grants armor and magic absorb
Sword mode:
grants crit and huge dmg proc

after you cycle through "50 pages" of either mode by taking damage, it swaps over to the other, you can force this change by using the on-use
after using the on-use mode you swapped to is doubled for 20 seconds

The goal is generally to stay in sword mode as long as possible for an extremely powerful offensive trinket!

If I get SW from tier and then cast shield wall I still only get 8s and not 12 (8 from the ability + 4 from the t2 proc)

Haven't tested what happens when you have shield wall going and use avatar, nor have I tested what happens if tier set SW procs while you have regular SW ticking on you already

First room you only need to watch out for the bleed. In bee area you gotta be careful with the bees final sting or whatever it’s called. When they reach 40% and you have 4-5 bees in the pack, press spell block and you’re immune

The Tome trucks and doubles as a defensive cooldown if you really need it. I love mine.

No one talks about the defensive part of the tome, but if you really have to block some incoming magic damage that aspect of it is also good and you have a lot of control over which side you're on.

Id take the avoidance and catalyse (provided its good ilevel gear for the content you plan to do) as you'll make it Haste crit anyway. Why say no to the free avoidance. If you don't plan on ever catalysing them, then probably take the Haste just to have the more relevant stats

Rage management is more difficult this season as we don't just have unlimited rage all the time- you can spec heavy repercussions if you want for more uptime, but the downtime could well be due to rage management
