Hey guys. Can anyone here give me some pointers on how to improve my overall dps as a tank?
I am currently always sitting on around 650-700k, but I was playing with a guildie prot who did 1mio overall and I have no idea if i am doing something fundamentally wrong.

u are running bad talents for damage, and not using the talent u have. u currently have 4 SB block talents yest have blocked 72% hits u should be at near 100 with 3 SB talents

your wasting a lot of rage you generate so you are having les avatars in general

and u are having less VBs in general to use over a key

your generating less rage than u should be because of your talents again and because your casts are low

Today, I was doing DB +13 and the first boss' AoE hit me for 10.76 mil through Spell reflect + Demo (a little bit of ignore pain, but nothing crazy since she hits like a truck).

The first time, same setup, it hits me for ~4.4mil.

Shammy healer, no CDs used on me whatsoever.

In most packs you have a main target that is prio to kill and/or has twice the HP than other mobs, so it’s most of the time better to prio « ST » so that the entire pack die faster (otherwise you just do pad damage). And as others said, SS is our top prio for rage etc. once you have aggro 🙂

Nomer has a rage bar tracker with VO tracker so you can see how close you are to spending that 240 rage to trigger VO, very handy

• you’re trying to gain and spend as much rage as possible, which means
• use offensive CDs on CD, followed by shield slam > thunderclap > revenge, pressing Ignore Pain to keep rage below ~ 70

Did a +10 mists with 29% haste and balanced crit vers - 850k overall then again with 38% haste and 820k overall, but with haste you just feel like a machine gun

Plus at 38% crit haste you're pretty safe to swap over to ITF with very minimal downtime of SB, so your machine gun get's an extra turret

Guys im losing my mind with the spec... i don't know im 615ilvl and changing from +9 to 10 it literal hell. There's a good chunk they could have done; if they come in here, since that looks like they were checking in yesterday, so not sure if they'd want to just be pinged a day later, I can point a few out, but a good chunk of it is under-utilizing defensives and taking way too many hits in the back; while they've got SB up, they're only blocking 88% of hits

You shouldn't need BSV in raid unless you're not pressing buttons or from what I've heard on the grapevine, M Kyveza gets more comfy with it, though I don't think Sense rocked it for his kill

I did, it was 1500 higher on pure damage raid set using crafted weapon, I am also not simming weapon embellishment since I am using 2 duskthreads on other gear
