I mean melee is going to really start hurting even around 7+ stack mark, and five of them are hitting you, so it won't be for long.
But that pull should nonetheless not be a difficult one - you know it's coming everyone knows it's coming, it's the one deliberate kite pull in the dungeon.

It's just significantly more efficient to macro it because you reduce the risk of an unforced mistake. Is it necessary? No, just as much as boss mods and stuff aren't. Just 1 more way to reduce mental load.

The numbers on your abilities won’t go down because defensive stance does not technically lower any damage output itself
It’s just a slight loss of damage due to battle stance granting 3% crit which you lose out on when you’re in defensive stance

Bsv is fine its comfy, you dont need it on lower keys but your not a bad player if you take it. Losing ravager isnt the end of the world 60 rage per minute contributing 5% dmg per key. you will make up far more dmg and rage perfecting your rotation. If bsv prevents potential 3 mins lost on a wipe its done its job. To be honest if your blowing a key due to a tank not having ravager there is other problems with your group

racials don't really matter. don't pick a class due to it. the benefits are miniscule outside of the absolute highest level of play and even there they are "niche"
Dwarf are considered the best race for M+ only due to the debuff / bleed dispell on stoneform
But if you arent trying to push 17+ keys, and even then, it's whatever.
Pick the class you enjoy looking at since that what you will be doing most of the time anyway

They should trash the reasoning that most people are taking it, rather than trashing taking the talent at all. It can be quite strong, but people are acting as if it's a magic ability that fixes everything due to being a cheat death (which it also isn't by definition, but that's a relatively moot point on both ends).
What it is good for is acting as a strong defensive that can help you with defensive CD rotation, which can be strict on some bosses this season. It hasn't been proven to be so far entirely necessary in any of those high keys that they're running, either, with any logs that we've seen. It can help cover for issues in play, which is the main thing that we've seen. Since this Discord is mostly focused on optimizing Prot Warrior gameplay, it's not recommended baseline. There might eventually be a point where it is necessary, but it's also possible the party's dead by then.
Overall, it's not like a bad talent, but you can pick it for bad reasons. Grabbing it just because someone pushing 14s is grabbing it without considering why they are is a bad reason. Grabbing it to help ensure you don't die is fine, even if it hasn't been entirely necessary, since at the end of the day, timing the key is the most important.

depends on dungeon and key level really. you do more damage the higher the key is and some dungeons are easier to pull big in (nw) and some you might have to do mamy smaller pulls (cot)

You just ultimately need the wowlogs software to upload the logs and a way to generate the logs; you can manually enable logging with the chat command, or grab an addon like Loggerhead, MRT, or I think DBM all have auto-logging parts that will automatically turn it on for you
Just remember to turn on Advanced Combat Logging on in WoW's options in the menu first
