So you use IP whenever you have 50 rage?
To avoid overcapping, so usually around 60-70 rage
If you use it too much, you end up not being able to cast Revenge when needed, so you can't get SS resets, so you generate less rage
Which means less IP, less CDR for SW/Avatar, less healing from indom, and less rage from violent outburst
The entire class centers around generating as much rage as possible and spending all of it, so you keep the cycle going however you need to; if you do need to pool IP for a big hit, you can like
just press it twice before it comes up
not sometbing you do for engaging packs
only really for some particular bosses where defensive rotation is very tight
and only on super high keys

If you're hard spamming IP, you may have been actually less tanky

tank buster design is so inconsistent its awful, some of them are locked in on target but some will hit whoever the target is at the end of the cast
this patch in particular is incredibly frustrating for our AOTC-only guild

I'm having issues doing damage during Mythic raids, I run Ara-kara Sacbrood + Swamlord and I go for a more defensive build in most fights, but of course I get grey parses all the time, do you think that's the wrong approach to progress?

So it makes sense if youāre deliberately making more defensive choices youād parse lower

Hey all, I sometimes tank, keys and tonight tanking mythic. I am not sure what I should use for trinkets. I have a 626 sacbrood which I am using for sure, but also ahve a 626 Sikran's Endless Arsenal and 626 Skarmorak Shard. Been using Sikran's. But neither of these seem like a slam dunk.
Shardās pretty good, lines up with our CDs
But overall trinkets are less powerful this season so thereās no huge difference
Be wary of parses, the tank dps parses get overblown by geared players pushing dps talents and trinkets and screaming for PI
swarmlord is never going to save you in mythic raid tbf
because it reduces a lot of chip damage, which is why it feels pretty effective in m+
in raid, its all about significant defensives for the tank busters. but also grey parsing doesnt matter as much as long as you are doing your job
@west turtle if your grey parsing it will not be the trinkets fault. You could run a defensive trink and easily get 80-90 parses

I had dps complain that I am moving the boss too far and messing with uptime while they were doing 0 add focus and using no ccs and slows to the adds

The best part was the first set made it to the boss, and I had to literally kite away from the second set that was going to be up with the first set still up, and I told them that the adds should be dead before they can get to the boss, and definitely before 2 sets are up and they said my damage as the tank was the issue, and the fact that my IO is only 2200+ is the issue. Said that sounds like a low IO mentality
I guess now killing adds as a mechanic of that fight is a lower IO mentality

pull lavabender 1 in pull 10 and do pull 11 with 12 too
Second boss is pulled with a 3 pack
the first two mobs from pull 4 you do with pull 3
but maybe not instantly as there are 3 earthcallers
ok ill try those then...feels like if i can get past the 1st boss with a pug it goes generally well but usually the ones where we will for sure time something flooky happens like someone DCs and cant get back in the game lol

a bit late to the party, but i have a question, ring is not the best for prot, right? and also idk about the shield, i'm leaning towards the mythic track chest
Itās definitely not a BIS but it has the trink effect which helps
you're not replacing a myth track shield until next season
the ring is really good offensively but had 0 haste so i am not a fan!!
since I already have the 636 crafted one, 3 ilv isn't that big of a deal, also the maste stat being higher is not that good

Sw is 40sec effective cd
Spellblock has 33% uptime if you use it on CD
Demo shout has effective 20-25sec CD
Sr is 20sec cd for 5sec of 20% magic dr+reflect/deflect
Beyond that shield block is the strongest mitigation in game + layered IP ontop of it
So you don't need to actively cycle CDs on every single pack outside of specifc mechanics

If itās only physical I have demo, and shield wall. Last stand isnāt like really a cd outside of bolster since itās only max hp (I heard)
