if you'd ever use it, it'd be simultaneously when you are taking many hits in a short time, and as part of an explicit defensive plan, not just toss in on your biggest cd. But in most cases as prot warrior I feel you'd have to be really hard pressed to need that in your plan imo.

swarmlord is a defensive trinket which you shouldn't need if you're doing normal level keys (and might not need even in extremely high keys)

Single target value is higher than aoe because your walls in keys will be bosses and tank aoe (non-vdh) can't be compared to a dps one anyways

Boys I am having a bit of an issue. Everytime I run with DH they burst away my aggro. Running with Warkis specc, so ravager and so forth is gone to always have some defensive I can use. Using avatar + spear on cd... dps is around 300k single target. I need some advice I think

First time running with a more defensive build, which was really nice survival wise, maybe not so nice dps wise

Playing defensive build in a +6 is a bad idea because dorki is "pushing" +13-14 keys which have like 400% more damage and as many defensive stuf isn't needed in keys below 12

BUt also there's a great button we have called intervene

so even if you lose ALL aggro to them you will take all the damage
