Both crit and vers are solid defensive stats, and any benefit you'd gain from other lining is 100% completely irrelevant due to how cherry picked scenarios would have to be.

you can get away with spamming ignore pain in most content, just make sure you always have enough for shield block

Of course, only did a +7 and didn’t get into the low rage/shield block in a pack since you avatar almost 2 times on each pack yet will figure out when it happens

i usually do charge, clap, avatar+shieldcharge macro, clap. Maybe not optimal but double clap like that usually gets you enough aggro to have time to press your other buttons?
shieldcharge will give me shield block, and usually those cds are together

I do the charge spell giving you rage and shield block first, thunder, into avatar, bastion, ravager, don’t know if it’s bad

you can also use charge + shield charge right away so you get enough rage for ignore pain, to not die in first 2 seconds)

i just wish all our buttons didnt trigger GCD, i feel like im losing too much time fitting demo shout, ravager and spear.
i use avatar and shield charge because i combine thoses in a single button and i often use it at melee distance anyways

you should pre use shield block and ip if you have rage thats for sure, especially if you are running heavy repercussions, cause you have surplus uptime anyways. First few seconds of the pull are like the only scary part for prot warr, after you stabilize you are unlikely to die, even in big pulls
