You do not need to take a second tier piece from your vault. You will have 2 catalysts, 1 drop, and 1 AOTC token on reset next Tuesday. You will be able to farm keys for 613 pieces of loot to catalyze before next Tuesday.

That is to say, it is actively useful in all content almost all the time. Avoidance is only AOE dam.

I think the minimal DR you get from Avoidance is probably going to be more impactful on a non-tank since you don't have like 4 or 5 passive auras causing diminishing returns on the smaller sum of mitigation you get.

Tbh keybinds u need to make efficient and neutral so they can eventually work across other specs or classes rather than copying someone else's setup. Put builders on binds that make sense for you and are comfortable for you whilst spenders are for other fingers, then spread out a bit further for each key press that is cooldown based or alter to shift mods as well. Like I'm left handed for example so my important base rotational things like SS and TC are on "U" and "I" with different fingers for each. Shield wall is literally just Shift + U as its a big cooldown I want easy access to. Things like that make sense for me as someone who's had to basically adjust to the other side of the keyboard lol

These things also hard shift for each tank spec, so if I play any other tank my builder is always on "U" and I'm never deferring from that. My standard maintenance defensive on every tank is "[" as well because it just translates well

Icy Veins recommends putting embels on waist, back, or shoes in addition to wrists, as those are lower budget items

since if you're at max ilvl of everything, your crafted items will be at a lower ilvl

The reason Wowhead also recommends a shield is because it's one of the fastest ways to get an almost highest ilvl shield very early on, as well

Since crafted gear is still only 3 ilvls below max if you chuck the highest tier enchanted crest at it

or maybe 6

You'd eventually stop using the crafted shield, preferably, but it is a way to fast track your shield ilvl

yeah it's a garbage shield; the effect is a nothing in comparison to the lack of stam and secondaires

And crafted shields are safe. If you r not raiding mythic, vault ist your only chance for maxed shields. At some chars i never get any mythic shield from the vault…

I know shield is very important, but, vault gave me the Rasha'nan cloak.
Although I'm currently already wearing a hero track crit/haste cloak, so, I'm doubting if it's worth getting it over the 616 hero track crit/haste shield (currently using a 606 veteran track shield)
I won't be raiding mythic, but my first spark craft would most likely be a shield...
Would you go for the cloak, or the shield?
