That level of variance wouldn't exceed the ring proc value being relatively higher for MT. At worst I'd expect the ring upgrade diff to be roughly the same due to Colossus being a bit better ST, but 3k down for a spec that should ostensibly get more of an improvement reads to me like either it's not typing Thunder blast damage as nature to help proc it or the proc isn't correctly implemented
