Yes.

It's one of the more common thoughts among people who don't play tanks

It's also why people continue to think that there's defensive builds for tanks (As a whole, doing damage as a tank is survival since almost all tanks have feedback loops that turn your DPS rotation into survival) and that tank trinkets are important

People just don't understand at all how it works because they know positioning is important, therefore the tank is important since they somehow directly control where literally everyone is standing (It's just melee, and you usually pre-set at one spot, removing any kind of realistic decision making from the tank's hands and moving it to the raid leader's hands)

That's also why M+ tanking is harder than raid, since a lot of those decisions like positioning get moved back to the tank, plus there's dynamic factors that can be involved (butt pulls, higher damage intake, count, etc)

And that's where most people get tank ideas from is M+, since it's easier to directly get experience in dungeons as a tank than raid, so it's a feedback loop of old knowledge and current experiences. Combine that with the lack of desire to go out and research, and it's one of the more popular ideas around

They're both up to date, but different philosophies. The main thing to know about Int Shout is that it has lost value due to how much mobs in current dungeons love to spam cast

Even if you fear them, a lot of mobs will just insta-break fear and go into the exact same cast you just stopped

I still find it useful, and I don't enjoy the extra slow from crackling thunder, so I do play Int Shout myself and don't have Crackling

You can also treat the point in Enudrance training as a flex point, as well

Is mastery good for us now or why are the top 2 trinkets on 5 target heavy on mastery? Is it just because it gives AP and the otehr trinkets don't compete with the flat % AP?
