Hey all, I am just querying the inclusion of champions spear rather than thunderous roar in the mountain thane build on Wowhead for m+... I've been seeing a fair bit of success running TR with mountain thane, the reduction to a 45 sec cool down with a point the extra talent sees it sync up with avatar and demo shout often for a big whack of damage.

Can someone tell me either a) is this an error in the guide, b) is TR strictly worse in any way or c) what are the advantages to taking champions spear instead?

If we are playing champions just for the 10 rage every 1.5 minutes that seems rather lacklustre

like for example i have bull tauren cowman asthetic going on, and it works really well for me cuz it fits the motif of protection warrior really well,

but it has cow stomp, and i already have bolt, shockwave, and mass fear, so i don't really need the extra cow stomp ability for stun, it only builds up stun DR, and while its aoe and radial both of which are highly valuable, it deals NO dmg and its only a 2s stun instead of 4 or 6 or 10

cuz you always want to use the longest duration stun possible on the first one, 6-10 seconds, then 4-6 second ones are super common 2nd then shitter stuns for last dr

Simbait is stuff that appears good on paper and in sims, but is, in practice, unfeasible to actually get that performance out. Say it requires you to run in a diamond formation with lines at least 35 yds to get effect from the trinket. It might sim top DPS, but there's no fucking way you get that in real scenarios

You caught the gist of it; the triniet lists you'll see in guides usually only list the relevant trinkets. Things that aren't on there are usally not there because they're entirely outclassed so hard they're not worth considering or they're too obtuse to be used practically.

S4 was special because people were familiar with all the trinkets coming back, or at least thought they were, so more things had to be said at all.

The ‘secret’ to Dawnbreaker is that most of the mobs in there are ‘fake’ as don’t count. All mobs fighting each other give 0 count and won’t aggro you unless you seriously try. Once you realize this it’s much easier.

But idk, sure it was linear, but it’s mildly more fun to fly around a linear dungeon than walk around a linear dungeon

cant pull it with none or max stacks whatever his deal is, not sure which mobs should kill in what order or how many in that section
