but what nome is saying is that at 6.4k haste you dont even need to minmax stuff like boss casts. don't forget that shield block also increases the damage of your shield slam so it's valuable to have it up if you can, even when not taking blockable damage

The volume of mastery on gear makes it hard to pass up but I can't see any reason to keep picking it after hitting 100% so I'm going to keep rebalancing my gear to raise the other stats while keeping mastery limited to 12k as time goes on

One of the tinker gems gives extra autos every 10 sec (so more ss resets) and one gives resource gen to party (a lot of people take it) so I've got more rage than I can use sometimes. I took the talent that makes shield slam increase shield block duration, even if it's not the best, so many resets means endless uptime

Hoping for some bullion advice. I started playing my warrior again in S4. My original plan was arms/fury only, but lately I have been tanking almost exclusively due to need. So far my bullion purchases are Ashkandur and Seal of Diurnas Chosen with 2 bullion banked. This is an alt and I am almost exclusively a keys player outside pugging normal and maybe heroic here and there. I know general advice is Gholak first for tanking, but I am thinking I made it this far and next week Ill have another shot at a heroic track. I have a champ track dreadplate, but am otherwise using a heroic mutated magmammoth scale. I use the scale for both DPSing and tanking. I am thinking Ill grab a DPS trinket and hope to get a heroic gholak unless I am absolutely shooting myself in the foot not getting one. My sights were originally on grieftorch since M+ can go sideways and getting resets looks super fun, but managing it and creating a CD on dreadplates seems bad, which is where Augury comes in. Any advice is appreciated, sorry for the length. My goal for this character is 3.2k io.

How exactly does dreadplates work defensively? Tooltip says reduces damage by 21K but the buff says 106k. Does it do more DR with more plates up and slowly get worse? Also is there a way to easily see it's value in logs?

It’s magical - just pretend the tooltip reads “you’re immune to most things for 15 seconds”

And it's the last thing applied to your dmg taken
So after all your other DRs which makes it very very strong
Even on my dh it absorbs like 2 mil on avg and that class loses stacks way quicker
