I struggled a bit with this as well. Now at 518 ilvl it’s not so much of an issue anymore. Middle of a pull should not happen. During pulls when things spawn in mid pull, you need to make sure you have a TC ready or a revenge to press immediately

In BH or AA? Algathar it’s 100% mêlées. If they aggro to your team they melee then and apply the poison. I usually drop ravager for the second germinate to grab aggro right away. 4th set I challenging shout as soon as they pop out of the ground (if you shout before it won’t work)

Ya you don’t really shoot for any specific IP uptime. You use it to dump rage as a natural consequence of doing your rotation (depending on content this should mean it’s up quite a bit so if your uptime is low it could be a sign of a rotation issue). Shield block should be up 100% of the time though

You don't want to macro Spenders into anything else. Macroing a Builder into (AFTER!) a Spender is fine, but don't macro spenders.

The only other thing I macro into another ability is I macro my racial into Avatar

The buttons on the right are 3 blocks of 12; the first 12 are mostly stuff I click (mounts, hearthstone, buffs and potions); the second 12 are on my mouse, and the 3rd 12 are on my mouse with G-Shift held

The different coloured things on that third block are ping macros

You will get into the habit of keeping your Rage hovering in the 40-60 range; if you go too high just dump to IP (if Shield Block isn't available)

Oh I should explicitly state this, because new Prot Warriors often don't get it; we DO NOT CARE about overcapping Ignore Pain. IP is a button you press to Spend Rage and proc Anger Management, Indomitable and Violent Outburst. The actual Ignore Pain buff is just a handy siide-effect of doing that

if you are playing correctly Avatar is up every 30-35s, and Shield Wall every 60-75, because of Anger Management (and Impenetrable Wall)
