The literal only decision point you have in AOE vs ST is whether you want to consume violent outburst with TC.

Health Pots are a magical thing in combination with a personal. No idea why most dps dont have either on bars
Goes for you too. Health pots are off the GCD and save your ass. Im consuming like 300 a week on my Prot
Sim it and see if the difference is worth it to you. Replacing my soph3 with waft3 only sims out to 0.2% improvement so I'm just keeping the soph unless I somehow upgrade my Gholak

This is the build i'm playing in most keys. There are also builds in the pin's.
Defensive stance is situational - if you need it, you use it.
On key levels you are doing (24-25), you treat it as a just a Defensive CD.
If you're unfamiliar with the class and still learning, then there's no harm done in just sitting in defensive stance either.
It's just a 5% damage reduction.
Are you losing aggro at the start of the pack, or randomly in the middle?
Then you definitely don't need Spell Block.

If it happens during grouping then it's a dps issue.
E.g..you run in, TC 2 mobs, run ahead to group more, but DPS go ham already on the 2.
What you can do to help:
1)Let them know you are doing a bigger pull (via linking MDT or typing in chat);
2)Ensure to use more abilities on the first mobs than just a single TC, e.g Charge-Thunder Clap-SS-Revenge and then move onwards to next packs.

One more noob question here. If i use Taunt, does it icrease my overall aggro generation or only on that target i used it?
you dont generate more threat on your surroundings by using taunt on one mob
besides our AoE taunt the only other things that play into taunt are heroic leap that when used resets cooldown on taunt, and heroic throw that generates high threat in itself
Many, many DPS players also have a lot to learn about tanking…
Taunting forces the mob to attack you for 3 seconds and increases your threat generation on that mob for 3 seconds. So no, it's not a "Buff" on you that makes you generate more threat on everything, but rather like a debuff on the specific enemy.
all taunt does is make you number one on the threat meter
And increases your threat generation on that specific target for 3s.

For everyone, taunt is a threat multiplier while the debuff is active
That's why it's important to taunt a boss on pull
So your dps can go ham immediately
It's like a 400% multiplier
That's how a 80k dps tank can keep threat vs a 1mil dps bursting dps on single target

you have to go over it so many times in practice or drafts to get to that point, that it removes alot of the excitement or somethin
i generally find keys easier when players play by old dungeons and dragon rules

its a builder spender technically, but the spenders hit like wet noodles and the builders do all the damage
