Just have a plan for each grab
You have SR and Def for each one to start
You can use IV between ticks to stay healthy
LS too, since it also heals in addition to the increased HP

As for adds, just pick them up, don't stand in roots
Splock works on the breath, though, so having it for the key as a whole is fine since there's no shortage of trash to get value on it
And it can be an emergency button if you somehow walk into a root without Ava to break

2nd pull i have to point the gryphs somewhere to not pull extra
3rd pull is hella far from each other, unless lucky with the patrol
7th pull needs a lot of stop n go because of the dryad and keepers

basically I play with a nice casual-core guild that doesn't really care about efficacy too much. But we do have some raiders with us that get CE with other guilds. Their feedback has generally been "warrior sucks"

Judging by the log you were 447 and did not use spell block for the fight. Might have been a factor in seemingly higher damage taken. I’m just a key a tank though and don’t really prog raids these days as one so I’m not an expert.

Yeah -- the issue is DBM was telling me to use it as my cotank taunted. not sure why. But I assumed "oh the ramping damage is more than the hit after you taunt so DBM wants me to use it here"
If you rely on dbm telling you what to do then yeah, that will cause issues

Prot warriors were considering dick by a lot of the community last tier it felt like but I walked into heroic and took 0 damage regardless. It got to the point where I had tanks occasionally purposefully not taunt to see what I could manage. If something seems like it hurts just figure out why that is whether it’s a mechanics issue or a defensive usage issue. Warrior ain’t the issue.

I’m just referring to heroic. My guild at the time had 2 prot paladins that somehow made that fight way harder than it needed to be in mythic. Didn’t help that they had like 20% consecrate uptime we found out later lol.

All the tanks do an excellent job at the highest level of play, the problem is warrior lacks the opportunity cost of taking any other tank with more utilities.

Granted I didn’t have leap tech at the time but even then I walk into a 22 or something and the damage from it plus the casts for the adds is probably where I’m most cautious of all dungeons. I imagine a 24/25 is probably where’d I’d feel the same now assuming I got back to pushing keys.

That could be your problems; it's one of the few bosses where an Aug can be a burden, because when he Soul Thorns a DPS there's 2/3rds chance he takes out a real DPS, leaving you with only an Aug and a DPS to free them.

I’m playing my prot warrior and I have Slam on my bars but I don’t find myself pressing it often, if at all. So am I doing something wrong or do we not use Slam and I might as well take it off my bars?

OK things to know about the charge: It's Nature Damage, so Block does shit UNLESS you have Spell Block active
Spell Reflect's Damage Recuction component works on it.

The thing wiith the Sol fight is it's really all on the ranged or healer to get the drag-in in the right place

Sol is pretty chil as a war tank, as you can reflect half of her tank damage

She hits hard (1m3 unmitigated in 24 tyr), but that's very manageable
I personally feel the the charge is worse to manage
doing it with 5 melee felt impossible
She doesn't actually melee very often, so she's pretty whatever on that front

Yeah, because the drag-in is always centred on the player furtherest from her. So if you're 5 melee it'll always drag you and keep you in the centre of the ice as it closes in. If you have a good ranged they can position themselves to pull you OUT of that and it's much easier

I would have a question about crafted gear:
Since crafted Gear has less GS than Myth Track Gear it makes sense to put Embelishment on the Slots with the lowest Stats - is their a reason to not use craftes shield? Off Hand and Cloak do have the lowest amount of Stats
Use Bracers and Cloak. DO NOT use Shield, you want highest ilvl for Block Value

What about Lariat? I've seen that one of the top M+ Prot Warris is using it
The Lariat sims as less damage than Shadowflame patches, but it does come with a stat proc and therefore has defensive value that the Shadowflame doesn't have. As such, some really high key pushers are going with Lariat for that reason. Evaluate your need for every last iota of defence and act accordingly.
my crafts aren't great, but they are functional and can be salvaged late stage season 3
Also, bluntly: The selection of necklaces this season is pretty terrible, and because there's no PRI on Necklaces 3 ilvls lower there isn't the end of the world.

I was in Top 100 World of Prot Warri last Season and I plan to push as high as possible again this season, so it seem to make sense to me

So I know nothing matters while I am levelling, but in the interest of building good habits, does revenge replace slam now that I have it at level 13, or should I keep slam on my bars because it becomes relevant later?

should definitely replace slam with revenge so you can begin learning how to use it and utilize positioning correctly the more you play

You don't attack the roots. It's completely unrealistic on any relevant key level
because you can't aoe them
You either clear the roots so they don't spawn adds, or you spawn the roots close together so you can aoe the adds down easily once they spawn.
u can go in a root and then use avatar to clear it immediately and it gets rid of it
