It does sound like interesting idea, if you would perhaps limit it to encounters where "dont stand in fire" and "kill mobs first" would be enough of a guide then it could work,
I see one big advantage, especially for new players, wow became game where leveling does not matter and end game is where the fun is (which I think is not great design, why make only parts of the game fun) and this could bring that end game fun to lower levels too
One bigger issue I see is how to make it worth it? Especially with wiping
