Hey all! I’m a 3.4K bear main starting up prot warrior this week for fun. Plan is do all 25’s at least on warrior. Have a few questions if anyone can answer? Mostly, are there are any spell reflect tips that aren’t obvious like, I didn’t know you could reflect the balls on emberon in uldaman. Just read that here. In general any tips to min max this spec in 25+ keys. I’m still gearing but will be done by next week mostly. Feeling 100% fine in 22’s this week at 434 ilvl. But as I get higher I’d like to learn more.

Yeah I’m feeling fine in 22 with my ilvl so when I’m 445 and not playing with random lower pugs, I imagine it’ll be fine for 25. War feels really good in most dungeons. Just need to work on gathering and keep learning more about the class. I didn’t play it in season 1 so I definitely don’t know all there is to know about it yet

You can't get enough vers for it to outweigh the defensive and offensive benefits of crit
Most dmg taken in m+ is from physical dmg and melees, which crit is the best stat against. You can also parry all those scary bleeds that exist
Vers also requires over 10% more investment of stats to get a single percent
And 18% more investment than haste

The only 2 types of dmg prot war struggles with are magic hits and bleeds. So aside from crit parrying bleeds which I did not know, I assumed verse for magic hits would be better. There aren’t a ton of either though in current dungeon pool

Didn't see it mentioned but parry haste is a thing too. When you parry it reduces the time on your next auto attack. So, not only do your abilities crit more, you also get more chances at shield slam resets. It's a rather substantial increase to damage and damage reduction over the course of a key.

like, there, that is my character and on weapon, sheild, belt, legs and boots slots i get to chose which stats, the ring is i left it on after doing mog runs, it didnt affect my performance in any way at all in a 17 lair just now.

yes, ilvl on shield is most important part of it, as its increase block value, but as you can craft 447 shield with stats you want, only better shield in current season is the one from echo of neltharion on mythic, due to higher ilvl

Pretty much every tank is viable for it. 2h15m is definitely in the appropriate window. Bear has been best for it all expansion, but you can pull it off on anyone within reason.

theres not alot of RNG to it, just do a nice circle around your 3 soaks

Quick question - My healers have told me healing my VDH is far and away easier than healing my Prot Warrior. My VDH is 438, and my Prot War is 445 almost 446. Specifially M Experiements and M Rashok. I'm currently in a position where I might need to be on Prot Warrior to help with Rally+BS. Is there any suggestion to be any less squishy, especially on M Rashok?

take spell block for first two combos of phase, shield wall on 3rd, enter def stance for all combos, spell reflect if its up and you must take flame slash, if raid is clearing in spirit link when you receive tank combo - dont stand in spirit link, it will drop your HP right before tank buster which can kill you
take second wind (overcharged doesnt interrupt it), you start phase, 2nd tank ends phase, that will give you ton of uptime on second wind to heal from overcharged dot (if you clear with rest of group instead of holding till end of phase, you can ignore this)
