It's a buff that is applied, the berserker doesn't need to stay alive after it is cast. It happens once when the berserker hits 50% hp.

I've used it before on bromach, it did work. However recent attempts the buff didn't apply to bro, so they may have quietly fixed that.

The tank combos? I use spell block for the first to. And spell reflect when i get a flaming slash hit. On the second combo when i need to soak i go into def stance too. The third combo is with def stance and shield wall. When i am about to take 2 hits i use victor rush in between thise two hits. I had bark for an external but we use that now for other players. Earthen crush with wall up sometimes does no damage at all.

Press Thunder clap more often, try to avoid caping rage, and remember last stand is a good ability. You can have it up for 1 tank slam each phase. I try for the third one in each phase, spell block right before the first one, and shield wall the third

It's something you'll have to push through as a tank, because the average non-tank doesn't understand that sometimes, a tank needs an external to smooth their damage intake to manageable levels for healers, either to reduce focus on the tank to let DPS get healed or to have them not die to frequent tank buster type mechs

Considering it's the largest amount of damage you took throughout the fight, if it's unavoidable for whatever reason, worth looking into. Though it looked like it was close to flaming slash timings, so SR can probably pull a bit of double duty

The biggest thing I'd probably recommend just off the damage taken I'm seeing is that swapping to Imp Wall will likely give you a big survival buff

Since you're taking relatively frequent damage with spikes, so more shield walls overall is more benefit that a single instance having two back to back shield walls

Defender's Aegis is only better in situations where you're just not pressing your buttons (you're pressing them enough) or where you need literal back to back shield walls to survive

I'm guessing what you're wanting is something to tell to you to press Dwarf when you have something on you that you can dwarf, sort of like the spell reflect WA that tells you when there's something you can spell reflect, but the problem is the list of dispellables you can't dwarf is quite small, where you can dispel just about every debuff, but don't necessarily WANT to use your CD on it.

I have to say getting into pugs is nuts atm. And when I run my key, they deplete it.

Be more selective of who you invite and which groups you sign up for. I've gotten more picky about those and had nearly 100% success rate since.

What ilvl of tank correlates to pugging what level of key? Guild groups I do great but pugging is almost a -5 or so of key level.

Well signing up for groups with my kind of rio = fail groups, higher rio = rejected

There are people with 2700 that still ignore how to handle several key fights, where to use defensives, what to kick, etc.

There's not really any major correlation between ilvl and what key you're supposed to be doing, since you can both clear keys a lot higher than what most people expect if the group plays and/or coordinates well and clear much lower keys than you really should if bad play and bad coordination are both in play

The real best thing is to just kinda try and get better at vetting pugs

IO's effectiveky a useless metric (hence scenarios in the message directly above), so you're best bet would be to actually try and pull logs of people who apply/who you're applying to

You can just glance at things like how many interrupts they use/do they even press defensives/etc to get a quick idea

In your case, Star, it's a little difficult to vet people like this due to most capable players who would be running mid-tier keys being alts without much history to base off of

but you can at least try and find people who are absolute avoids/dodges

Or if you have time to spare, just eat the bad group and run again; there's not that many bad players out there
