There's also a bit of a positioning requirement from the tank on that fight. You want to be able to hit the totem without having the cloud show up and fuck over your melee DPS. The cloud goes in a circle around the arena, and the totem always spawns on the opposite side of the arena from where the boss/tank is. So you want to keep an eye on where the cloud is and try to spawn the totem either right behind or not far behind the cloud's movement. If the cloud goes over the totem then it's going to be a bad time because your melee won't be able to hit it.

Oh, ya, fair enough I can see the point in saving the wyrm crests for upgrading dropped items, but I also see value in using them on crafted item too perhaps

using on dropped items kinda can be bad because if you just do higher level content and get higher ilvls to drop, you wont need to use crests to upgrade lower ilvl items though

The reasoning behind not using wyrm is because you can just use 4xAspect and save your Wyrms for upgrading.

Do remember that you also need to use Wyrm and Aspect crests to bribe enchanters with so you can recraft higher item level crafted gear as well

So don't go spending willy nilly, there's a weekly cap
