I have 2 questions: 1) If Ignore pain is off and Shield block is also down, which do i prioritize getting up if I only have enough rage for 1? 2) Do you guys like macroing Ignore pain to something else (like shield slam, i see it pinned) to keep it up? I feel like i'm using the recommended builds, but on a single target fight (Bird boss) I find i'm trying to spam ignore pain to keep it at max, and I never have enough rage for revenge even. Admittedly I am not great at keeping 100% uptime on SB yet, so i'm not sure if blocking generates rage? Since atm i'm currently pretty starved outside of ravager window if i'm relying on SS/Thunderclap (or if i can build up a chunk with demo roar)... Guess I need to see if there's something i'm missing to generate more rage

My guess is that you're actually pressing IP too much and focusing on its uptime/maintenance instead of just letting it happen as part of your rotation

Bosses mostly, i feel like some of it is having weaker healers (i'm pugging ~12s at 385 currently) . I had 60% more healing than the healer did on bird boss for example, and am usually 20-30% above the healers in overall healing, not sure if that is standard or not since i don't keep an eye on numbers when i'm dpsing

No, it's not avoidable. You can mitigate the initial hit as cruise said with spell block, but you just need to rotate defensives and use last stand/impending victory/healthstone/health pot to help remove the healing absorb.

aw. alright then. i was wondering because die by the sword as arms is 100% parry, but i wasnt certain if 100% actually nullifies the ability hit or not, so if its not avoidable, that puts a nail in the idea of taunt->100% parry so tank doesnt have to deal with it-> tank retaunts

It's perfectly valid to ask the question, and the answer is that they like it better. In terms of pure theorycrafting (and tbh in practice) it is not optimal to run ITF for reasons of inconsistent buff uptime and the potential (guarantee at lower levels of haste) for loss of shield block uptime. Having big score doesnt make players infallible. Keep asking these questions but 'x player or group of players are doing y' isn't a rebuttal to differing information
