Morning all. Shield is the logical choice here as I have a 372, but I also have a concentrated primal infusion so could craft a 415/418 shield (or a ring or something if I took the shield). This leans me towards the tier piece but it doesn't complete any sets and this is a M+ only character so unlikely to get the 2 piece without another vault drop next week. I also have 408 in that slot already. Please help

Defensively speaking:
Ilvl>everything.
The same rule is mostly followed offensively as well.
STR (and the increase in secondary stats) is a big gain for our DPS so higher ilvl gear with main stat will more than likely benefit you both, offensively and defensively.

Generally speaking, defensive value comes from your own play.

run tough as nails in keys and compare the damage to 10% of the overall damage of your rend, deep wounds and thunderous roar and you will have an exact answer to your question without asking anyone anywhere. For me personally, tough as nails is roughly double the damage of bloodbourne

If youre asking why certain people are doing something, you need to ask them, not random people in a different discord that don't know them. As far as Ive seen people have answered the only thing they can: Bloodbourne isnt more damage, as to why top rio tanks would still run this even if its clearly worse overall dps, you would simply have to ask the people in question.

Top io tanks are great players who play with other great players in a cordinated environment.
That doesn't mean they know all the ins and outs of every possible talent, especially when it comes to tanks which usually aren't "FOTM".
They tend to run their own talents depending on what THEY think is best for the specific scenario - the only one who can give you the information about why they are running those specific builds are the streamers themselves.

@acoustic island if you want best talents look at pins, we can answer if talents are ever seeing play in high keys like BSV (which might be) Battering Ram etc
but with Bloodborne it just doesnt make any sense to pick it... so if you wanna know the reason gotta ask the streamer

My general answer as to why streamer X takes bloodborne: they don't actually math out how much dmg they get from it

They just look at their dmg breakdown and see "oh my bleeds do 15% of my damage, nails only did 3%, therefor it sounds smart to pick stuff that increases bleed dmg"
