9/10 out of ten I’m taking essentially no dmg in 14/15 keys. Just doing it so my dps/healers have more leeway to learn
I’m only losing about 550 dps on sims vs my other rings, so it’s definitely worth the trade off imo.
The dps ring from cobalt is also very strong too though

But I have noticed sometimes someone in my group will attack something before my charge / revenge / thunderclap goes in usually in the process of me charging. Is there a better way for me to deal with getting aggro when this occurs and they force mob to run to them?

The answer is, we see a lot of 'high io warriors' doing like 20k dps on streams, and so they arent seeing the benefit from TR. When they swap to shockwave built they see the damage on the meters and probably their damage increase even tho they are holding stun and not sending on cd

@sleek spindle I tried a different tree strat cuz the timing of the ancient branch dying and germinate doesn't always line up with a fixed lust time
we ignored the big add and only kicked it, and full swap bursted it down right after a germinate
so that it was guaranteed we would have access to the cleanse circle without a bunch of shit in it
depending on how dps is spread sometimes when you just lust at a fixed time like 2nd adds bunch, 2nd branch, etc, if something makes it line up poorly with germinate you can get screwed, so i think the key is just not having cleanse circle and germinate at almost same time, however you want to accomplish that
I also just did it as Fury in another group (just a +12 so may not apply if ur one of these nuts doing +20s), after the 2nd little adds pack I blew all my burst with TR + Odyns on the small adds and did leap away from group and taunted the branch to kill him away from everything and that made it super easy for the group
but it requires someone else in the group actually doing something to help you as tank lol

But for prot specifically, they wanted nake tanks easier to play and strong so more ppl would play them. So they gave prot a very good very fun playstyle as well as buffing block on its own and through talents etc. So they buffed our best mitigation tool. And because they made it easier to play u can keep block up pretty much 100% of the time. Which usually used to be impossible or very hard to do in previous expansion espeically at the start. Now what they have also done is make mpre things like bosses in raid do blockable phyiscal damage and tank busters which previously also they didnt tend to do as much. In top of this in m+ they wanted to make it easier on tanks so instead of mobs casting all the time at the tank the casts are spread among the group meaning a bigger portion of damage taken is not pyhsical blockable damage. And as they made that easier for us to do it just makes us naturally.
Also because of all this we can sit in b stance and do a lot more damage than we are supposed too, if we are in d stance like we are supposed to be we woyld be close to druid in damage.

there's an overabundance of dps queueing like usual so even though you can get groups as tank at 382, most 10s can easily get closer to 390 dps cuz they can be picky with 100 dps queueing up lol
