Concerning Sparks: look at the end of the day, it clearly doesnt matter what people use it for... if you're worried about picking a dps throughput item then go for whatever sims better
you will get more sparks, they aren't limited to 3 like dinars, and you'll eventually have too many as time goes on
however my personal opinion is, and again that's my personal opinion so far, that molten guardian is probably the best first pick. Shield has always been our biggest upgrade, and i'd rather have one for sure than hold for an RNG drop or vault. Especially one that's upgradeable with reagents/stats (see primal infusions) to match whatever the content ilvl is. I'm crafting it to replace a 372 m0 shield as soon as i get my last 2 Primal Chaos.
people are just making too big of a deal of sparks, when they shouldn't. It's week 1, you dont need a perfect minmaxing on the 1st week, nor be 380 in every slot considering there will be bettter options when the season starts

I’ve noticed using shield charge is best after applying demo shout with the talent that makes enemies take more damage. You can burst higher than most/if not all dps classes

To get kind of back on track here, I highly highly suggest the Logitech G600 mouse. It has tons of buttons that are all intuitive to press, it's easy to set up, and it's cheap. And you don't have to use it for rotation if you don't want to. I use my side buttons for defensives and utility spells
And very useful for specs with lots of buttons

I'd recommend Trust Gaming GXT 970 Morfix, its even cheaper than the g600 and is pretty much a knockoff from the razer trio, where you can remove side and have circle button, 9 buttons etc. I'm extremely happy making the change for DF.
