When that is time-wise, I can't recall, but you should be capping IP and pressing SR every single time.
Generally you are gonna also be walling.
You can also lean into Demo + Ava for DR there too.
But you shouldn't need it unless you're undergeared.
Fleshcrafting is also an option.

No, you have to be with in 10yd of your tank to share the hit, minimum charge range is 8 yd, so it is possible to charge whenever

An easy way to tell if they are spamming taunt, is if your threat drops to 85 percent or so

Don't have to be MDI, a priest can use shining force to cancel missiles, kick both detonates and run under hammer, you can find similar utilities with other classes, but this week soloing as a tank is better because of sanguine

I start levelling as tank, then switch to dps if I get bored towards the end of the grind. I don't think it matters. Outdoor content in WoW is beyond trivial 99% of the time; which I hate, but it is what it is.

I'm reminded me of that thread over on /r/compwow where some guild was progging Mythic Denathrius and their tank had 10% up-time on shield block. they cleared 9/10 M and their tank was that bad. no one can convince me that the malding over tank rankings in raiding matters

DPS and Healer numbers matter for a lot of middling guilds as more DPS is strictly better but literally all tanks are going to be interchangeable for the most part for the vast, vast, vast majority of guilds.
