Shield slams for rage, revenge to proc shield slam, ignore pain around 70 ish rage to avoid overcaping. Run necrolord with the reprisal leggo and unnerving focus+adaptive armor fragment as potency conduits. Unnerving focus turns Last stand into a pseudo offensive button meaning you press it at the start of pulls because it gives you 75% increased rage gen for 15 seconds. With reprisal intervene and charge on cooldown (charge weaving is pretty optional because it’s difficult and not necessary, but it’s nice if you’re dry on rage, or trying to fuel banner uptime.) The current flavor of the month necrolord rewards good play of the spec via banners 20% strength and steady 4 rage per second. Fueling banner is as simple as doing your rotation right and not overcaping rage. Once again, Shield slam when it’s up, and press revenge to proc shield slam, ignore pain >70 rage to avoid overcaping, and even in aoe make sure to spend outburst stacks on Shiled slam for rage gen. Thunderclap I use mostly as a filler when I’m dry on procs, but it is ok to spend an avatar outburst on TC at the start of pulls to get quick threat.
There’s a lot more I could go into depth about but that’s the basics.

Shield wall is a super strong defensive cd, especially with Anger management. Prots dmg intake is a lot different from a bdk for example, which reacts to the dmg they take via healing with deathstrike, there is some semblance of reacting via rune tap to prevent dmg, but prot takes this to the extreme, being proactive to the dmg we take. Because most of our healing is in absorbs, it becomes very hard to heal for dmg we take outside of Victory rush procs or health stones/pots. Thus you want to prevent dmg before you take it. This comes from Shieldblock uptime, which comes naturally from pressing it on CD and pressing charge/intervene as often as possible, ignore pain, which becomes 70-90% uptime of 55% dmg reduction as you start to spend rage. Spell reflect is a nice 20% magic dmg reduction you can use. Pressing it in packs with heavy magic dmg, or magic spells is typically the way to go. You can also save it for offensive moments like the final boss in upper, reflecting his cast back at him rather than interrupting all of them. Using shield wall is a bit more tricky because you need to be proactive with it in packs, pressing shield wall when you’re already at 20% health, while probably the right thing to do in that situation, is still bad because it should have been pressed to prevent you from reaching 20% health rather than to prevent you from dying because there’s a good chance you are still going to die. With the amount of rage we have shield wall has a super short Cd as well s being around 1-1:30. Because of this, it makes it a bit more intuitive to use. If you’re in a situation where you know you aren’t going to ‘need’ it for a while, then it could be a good idea to press it more liberally to give your healer some help, and just make your life easier. But if you know the next pack is going to hurt like a mofo, it might be a good idea to save it. Prot can be pretty punishing atm if you aren’t very good at preventing the dmg you take, so being proactive is very important. Like I stated earlier, making sure you’re pressing cooldowns and abilities with the intent of preventing dmg before it happens, rather than reacting to the dmg. Outside of helathstones, victory rush procs, and any other potions, it’s very hard to heal yourself since most of our healing is in absorbs like IP, and some passive healing via indomitable.

We don’t really dinar shields or weapons, since you’d get them at 278, so outside of a super duper niche circumstance where you got RDM Aegis OWS and maybe Sigil, and also had a mythic upgrade token plus spare dinars maybe you could upgrade kt weapon, or some other one with decent stats to 311. But then again that’s considering you don’t even want to try fury or arms in which case I’d just dinar stuff for those two. Or you could always dinar for mog like a gigachad

is a 291 decanter worth using/ taking the 304s are not great upgrades and id be giving up leach on a 298 if i take shoulders
i dont plan on updraging to mythic so im mazxing out with 298s in most slots unless its a raid bis

Yes you can for 3 phases at least
1st : shield wall + spell reflect
2nd : fleshcraft + spell reflect (tricky part is to be at the end of the cast of fleshcraft for the max bubble value + having the 20% DR)
3rd : last stand + aegis + spell reflect (depending on gear and/or if the MS debuff is still on you this one is rough)
But if you had lust on pull there are high chance that you have shiekd wall for the 3rd one instead of last stand

Uh unlikely, but you yourself will notice an increase in dps and banner uptime (assuming you do play banner)
