#How do I uninstall all graphic drivers and reinstall using DDU?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
using safe mode is ideal when youre encountering issues.
chipset drivers can be installed from the AMD Software Installer later on.
Is there a guide on how to do all of this properly?
yes, theres a pinned guide in #tech-help you can follow - called "Clean Driver Install"
It says to uninstall the current AMD software - is this step just explaining to use DDU?
you did ask how to use DDU
Yeah got it, i just thought that step was somrthing we do before using DDU but nevermind I'm just dumb
I am now doing the process of uninstalling my graphic drivers
Quick question: do i need to unplug my ethernet cable from my pc to prevent windows from installing the wrong drivers?
ideally, yeah
Cool will do thanks
Do I need to change any of the settings listed here on DDU?
nop, leave as is
Gotchya cheers
When installing the Chipset drivers, do i keep all of these selected:
Should I enable factory reset on the graphic drivers installation?
yes
Thanks
I have completed all of the steps and restarted my pc, I am now trying to open the adrenalin software but it suddenly crashed and I tried to reopen it now and it shows this:
what CPU do you use?
Ryzen 5 7600 6 core
Ryzen 5 7600 6 core processor
whats the file name of the driver you installed?
i see
perform another clean installation, this time using the driver linked here 🔽
https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-26-3-1.html
make sure the file name ends with "-c"
that one has the driver for your CPU's integrated graphics too.
As in repeat everything again right? Including thr chipset drivers?
no, you can skip the chipset drivers.
nop
just to double check- this is the correct download/driver right?
yep, thats it!
Thank you!
Final question, I have 2 monitors, one has freesync premium, the other has adaptive sync. Should I enable this option on 1, 2 or both?
i'd recommend you to enable it for now, and disable it if you notice any brightness flickering while you play
Got it and im assuming using the max Hz even tho the monitors are different isnt going to cause any issues (one is 165hz and other is 100hz)
Hey, just double checking on the point above
nop
Thank you! My issue has been resolved, not sure if the forum has a close function - thanks for the help again!
