while running the 3dmark?
or just while playing
i have already checked with hwinfo previously and nothing seemed wrong but i might be mistaken so just tell me
i don't really know i haven't tried it, someone on the nvidia server told me to try enabling freesync back to try it again and it did fix it on valorant but not entirely on cs2
well, try it
i'll try that out tomorrow and tell you
doesn't seem to fix it im still stuttering a bit
my 1% lows are about 180-200, 0.1% lows are at 40-70 fps.
This is after playing 3 deathmatches
is that occuring in other games too?
this if you're interested
and no only cs2 and valorant
the game does feel more responsive but it might be just me
whats the CPU utilisation like in those games
freesync did fix it
specifically asking due to the P/E core layout
its about which threads are utilised.
you need to extend the tab in HWInfo
and here are my ssd speeds
bump
@rare lintel so is there a way you can help ?
close any and all background programs, see if it still occurs
it does
i also got told to exclude the games from defender
and someone told me to try step 5, 8, 9, 10, ,11-A, 12 and 15 https://www.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/s/io56qZY9Yw
i gained about 50-60+ fps i think but the main problem is still here
im still stuttering with delay
and the weird thing is, when i watch 60fps clips it looks way smoother than my game where i now am getting from 380 to 600 fps
uhh please dont
capture a frametime graph using this tool please
ideally over ~30-60 secs
is this the way im supposed to send them?
ive had a huge stutter at the end of the second one
send a screenshot please
@rare lintel
Do you have any hard drives in your PC, or exclusively SSDs?
only an ssd
mx500
.
check your windows update history and see if that matches up with when that started occuring
settings -> windows update -> update history
i don't really know when it started happening though
it probably started a few months after i got the pc
and i got it in october 2024
and i reset my pc once ever since so i don't have the older updates shown there
is even the capframex showing anything?
capframex was purely to understand the issue properly

I'd recommend a new windows install
man i don't get this atp ðŸ˜
when i reset the pc i tried only downloading valorant just to try it and it was the same
generally speaking, resetting your PC while keeping the install is not a great choice
windows tends to be sensitive about that
i have another drive i could try this on but i have exams in a few days i don't really have time to reinstall the full windows right now
yeah i get that, no worries
i think that's the only thing i haven't tried but it's so weird that nothing shows up
might be just my eyes
wait actually no i had a first reset where i kept the files and as it didn't work i then had full clean windows install, using an usb stick and all.
i just remembered
i have overclocked my gpu before tho, can it be related?
do you have any news?
Have you performed a clean windows install?
Don't overclock, close all background programs, make sure all drivers are up to date.
i remembered i did in the past actually, it didn't change anything, after only installing drivers and bvalorant
also idk why but my cs2 has gone really smooth now, i barely have the issue anymore. but valorant seems like it's getting worse
