(See example below.)
for some reason this post doesnt pop up in my desktop discord app but well heres the picture wait a sec
sorry for the italian language hopefully u still understand
i also put to install it in the english way in the installer but it still put it as italian
using the stock discord client? Could be that its a modified one leading to those issues
yea the official discord one i downloaded online in their website
do you get those timeouts without EXPO and other potential overclocks / tuning too?
ehh i never tried without expo
actually who built my pc put xmp at first and also activated cpu boost game on bios and i disabled the cpu boost and activated expo instead
and it all worked well since now
and sorry if im not an expert but what do u mean by other potential overclocks or tuning?
i never used or changed stuff about overclock or whatever
like for now im just using drivers without adrenalin and for now no timeouts
but stutters
EXPO and XMP are considered overclocking
micro stutters
so see if its better without that for now
well i saw multiple videos of reccomending that
but yea ill try
is there any ways to actually see if its real stutters or just me imaginating it cause its really small stutters u can barely notice
but i doubt im imaginating it but i wanna be really sure
you can use tools like CapFrameX to visualize frametimes
you could also use the AMD Metrics Overlay or the Metrics within the AMD Software to see them
as i said i dont have adrenalin cause ive seen ppl having less issues overall without
but i can tell u i play sometimes roblox aswell with friends
i check my fps or render directly there and it drops to 100 and something maybe 120 or less and then goes to cap itself back to 240
and i can actually feel the stutter really well but its like literally less than half a second stutter
so i gotta be really focus to see it but still annoying
so i disabled expo i just test now and let you know right?
@hazy jackal
ye
still happening
i see the fps drop to 140
and go back to 240
sometimes less than 140
run hwinfo in background, in sensors only mode
play for ~15 mins, then screenshot CPU, Mainboard and GPU values
theres many cpu values
c state or normal and another one
all of them
let me just screenshoot everything
QUITE A BIT of pictures to get everything
hopefully understandable
can you not take fewer, larger pictures?
wait did you run that in the background as you were playing?
oh yea sorry
do u want me to send any different category with all their value but everyone has their own picture
i need you to play the game for ~15 minutes as that runs in the background.
i just opened the hwinfo thing and just tabbed out, isnt that how am i supposed
no
im stupid then can u tell me how?
.
noo i meant to run the app in the background
i open the app do sensors only then start it tab out to my game and let it run?
ye
i did do that but i just saw it says it ran for 8 min at the bottom of the app
ill do it again
and send u pictures of values like 1 category has its own picture
but ill go eat really quick first and then send you
gotta go dinner
@hazy jackal i reached 20 minutes of the background app
i send every category its own picture now?
still alot more pictures but not messed up and u actually see all the values in 1 screenshoot
and so just search for all the cpu categories if u need to check them wait
i believe thats all
the last 3 pics such as motherboard , ram , ssd got all their value and categories in the same picture togheter cause the values or whatever categories are not that big/many that i need to multiple screenshoot them
well i hope this time u understand i tried my best to make it way cleaner pics
how
in this pic i made the app bigger and this is all i could show u in 1 picture man
240
you getting those stutters in other games?
eh well i tried to play the new avatar game a little and couldnt notice any i can try and recheck if u want
just to be sure
?
yep
can i close the hwinfo app or no
reset the values by clicking on the clock and leave it running
then play the other game for ~15 mins and screenshot the values again
ideally not in 15 pictures
hey
heres now 4 pics
of everything
also
i didnt get any stutter i think
as ive seen
i had my fps uncapped with no v sync when i moved my camera it was a little kind of laggy looking but no stutter so far i believe just this laggy kind of looking movement camera
so uh i think this happens only on roblox so far?
well im waiting for ur answer
for now, enable EXPO again and try whatever game you just played
if its still smooth, its likely due to roblox.
First, follow Nethan recommendation and enable EXPO, then test the same scenario again.
Based on this screenshot, very low available memory (especially virtual mem+mem -992 MB free, dropping to -292 MB at times) could still be a contributing factor to the microstutters. It’s worth monitoring available memory at the exact moment the stutters occur.
yea im gonna enable it now and check if any stutters occur in avatar game if nothing happens and its just smooth its just probably roblox but idk how to fix it cause i play it sometimes and its pretty annoying
@hazy jackal
here after expo
they were both the same experience
gameplay seems just the same like without expo as i said even tho when i move camera it would look laggy i believe its cause of no v sync?
but yea no stutters i think
feel free to try V-Sync, but if other games are fine, its that specific game.
yea even with v sync
it runs just fine in max graphics
i dont know why it does that stuttering on roblox and i even play it on like 3 bars of graphics not 10 which is the max graphics
any tips?
i just got the avatar game rn to test and it ran really well
max graphics could be kind of laggy tho when moving camera as i said or feeling laggy but no like big stuttering fps drop or whatever we call it
apart from checking specific graphics settings for that game
try Windowed / Fullscreen / Borderless Windowed
and see if toggling Anti-Lag could help
i dont have adrenalin installed
i mentioned it before too
hey i also experienced
i saw like
cause i got a wireless with like the poling rate dongle when i unplug it my fps drop and then goes back to 240
idk if thats a hint for something or just normal
make sure your polling rate is 1000hz
i did this
Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
Expand the Network adapters section.
Right-click on Realtek PCIe 2.5GbE Family Controller and select Properties.
Go to the Power Management tab.
Uncheck the box Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
Click OK.
i think this fixed it
its been 5 min tho
since ive said that unplugging my wireless mouse and plugging did micro stutters maybe this adaptor would just go on save power every 10 seconds kind of disconnect maybe and causing this?
well ill test way more now im so happy hopefully this is a real fix and not just temporary
