We have had such a dry spell for MMORPGs and now we are getting hit with A LOT of them. I am most excited for EotU but considering they kind of popped out of no where I'm not sure how far along they are in the development process. I'd be shocked but happy if they came out this year. But we shall see!

everyone has their own definition on what an MMORPG should be that they all seem to struggle lately.

Though the other reason i was shocked to be chosen as creator was that I said i'd be honest etc.
even my first messages in this discord were about my fears that while excited, so much of the advertising is sexual in nature, which made me worry the game and lore would be lacking.
i always have that though because so many games dont let the game speak and use showy things like outfits and massive breasts.

I was surprised they chose me because I only stream right now. I would really love to do YouTube as well but I'm permanently disabled and my pain gets in the way of sitting at my PC for long periods of time. It's frustrating but nothing I can do about it.

So in Lost Ark you had to have at least three alts if you wanted enough gold to upgrade your main character. Six if you really wanted enough and twelve if you're crazy. Lol. I know a couple people with twelve.

I was happy with one but I couldn't get anywhere and everyone got way ahead of me because they had alts.

I don't mind having alts. But feeling like I'm forced to have alts just to feed my main character felt like a full time job I wasn't being paid for.

because New World really annoyed me, every player can do all skills and crafts, like what is the point, the market gets so saturated that crafting is meaningless and all it is, is a stepping stone to dungeons and raids lol....
while i like end-game, the game itself needs to be fun, otherwise just create a game made of dungeon runs
(insert game Fellowship which was dungeons and raids, that failed because its actually pointless if you dont get that sense of accomplishment)

Yep you actually needed alts.
I think that is why I stepped away from New World. Good game. Beautiful game. But everything I did seemed meaningless I didn't feel like I was working towards anything.

I missed the TCG preorder for Pitch Black the other day because I was in a 5 hour queue on pokemon center and then when it said 5 minutes the website refreshed on its own.. and then the website crashed. I was so pissed.

Ooo I enjoyed the shit out of Crimson Desert although I wish it were multiplayer. I do love some single player games but that one felt like it would have been a greater adventure with friends.

it will most likely be multiplayer eventually, they said they will update for as long as players want, and to make sure they get funding i will assume that next major expansion will add it to ensure new sales.

On Linux, if you have an issue where the game stalls in the loading screen after starting. Use this launch command in properties: -windowed -w 1920 -h 1080

As for Proton, I am using Proton GE Latest.
