Improved Spotify Mod like in LabyMod (Mod Suggestion)
Detailed description of the suggestion:
The current Spotify integration in the Badlion Client is functional but limited and suffers from stability and usability issues.
This suggestion proposes to redesign the Spotify mod similar to the one in LabyMod, which offers more features and better user experience.
Requested features include:
- An in-game overlay displaying the current song title, artist, and playback status (play, pause, skip).
- A stable, persistent connection to the Spotify API to minimize disconnects.
- Customizable overlay position and size through the GUI.
- Options to toggle visibility of individual elements (e.g., show only the song title).
- Potential future additions like a song progress bar and hotkey playback controls.
- Compatibility with the Spotify Desktop app and ideally also the Web Player.
The benefit is that players can easily follow their music while gaming without leaving the game. This would increase user convenience and strengthen player retention on the Badlion Client, as similar features are already available in other clients like LabyMod.
Technically, implementing this via the Spotify Web API with a focus on secure authentication and stable syncing would be ideal.
