To this day, people use modifications to enable borderless fullscreen, fullscreen windowed. Reasoning for this is (at least in my case), if you got 2 monitors you can move your mouse to the other screen while still in Minecraft fullscreen, without the game getting minimized. An example for this mod is the Forge/Fabric mod "Borderless Mining".
The reason I want this is because if I see a new DM on Discord, or the YouTube video playing is finished, I can easily do stuff on the other monitor whilst not being interrupted with opening the game again from the taskbar.
