Less announcement pings or announcement roles

This is not my suggestion, I am merely forewarding a suggestion from a Discord member.

“I just feel like if you actually want people to see your announcements you shouldn’t ping that much cause everyone just muted the server”

It would be cool to have a revamp with announcements ngl, where you could react and get roles to each type of announcement you don't mind receiving.

So could be muted from cosmetic releases but sign up to receive badlion updates.

We have roles already for events and suggestions

but for regular announcements idk if we’d do that. we want to cater towards the entire discord and our community. if we create a role for general announcements like updates and stuff we minimise the amount of people seeing it

if we minimise the amount of views, less likely people know, low amount of replies

I understand it might be annoying to receive pings, but people could just silent them. if we minimise our efforts to advertise then it’s hard to develop

like for an example

if I announced my applications for community manager and I pinged a role and not the general community, I minimise the amount of applicants

And let just everyone receive announcements on Updates ,features ,application open etc

why reduce the amount of sales by restricting cosmetic sales to a role, when you can ping an entire community can be pinged and can view cosmetics
