May I ask what this deck's about? E.g. it's win condition, mulligan, strategy etc. But most of all, why not run the quest? Cos you want to maximise T1? - Thanks
Typical token deck. The quest sucks because not playing a minion on turn 1 is too slow. You spike on turn 3 or 4. Egg and life cycle on turn 3 give your board a +1/+1 buff and a 4/4.
you can play the quest on turn 4/5
just because it's in our opening hand means it's our only possible turn 1 play
To be honest I find you don't fill the board enough.
Most times you get 5ish minions down
Gotcha.
So basically I've spent a lot of time trying to make the Quest work in Druid , like a lot of time (BTW I'm not saying this to sound like I'm an expert or anything - I'm an awful player!), and so I'm super keen to see any such deck actually be good.
I actually can't play ladder for health reasons (yes, I do realize just how weird that sounds), and so the only data I've got personally is play testing against friends and against my alt account, but what I find time and time again is that Quest Druid is really strong and easily has a 60-65% WR.
However, I also know that the VS data just doesn't bear this out, which is really weird. It also just feels a strong deck too. I dunno, it's all just a bit weird.
ANYWAY, this is all to say that I will be following this decklist thread for sure and joining in when I can. I'm stoked to see where this goes!
FINALLY, my time is almost entirely consumed by the https://discord.com/channels/147167584666517505/1451729929480700034 channel/thread/deck list - play testing changes, canvassing opinions and the like, it's been cool. I'd love more data though so if you ever need a break from developing this list, hop on over to Shredslop, grab the latest decklist and give it a whirl! I'm currently on an 83% WR with it overall so either I've ballsed-up my calculations, or it's a f00kin gem of a decklist LOL. Cheers.
Here's a fun decklist to try for example

(I call it "Aggro Umbraslop V4" cos it goes wide at first (aggro), but then has Umbra to break the back of the opponent should they still be alive come turn 8 or so)
(sorry for all the messages, I didn't mean to hog your thread mate 👍🏻)
Hardest part of this deck is dodging avatar form and a double proced salvanas.
Oh, you mean Sylvanas, got you. I'd have thought that Warrior & DK's board clears would be far more problematic. Is it because Sylvanas & Avatar are so early on, like T3, and you're hoping to have won by T6+ when DK / Warrior's board clears are online?
Dk is worse than warrior. Warriors cant clear until turn 5 so you just apply pressure as soon as you can.
Sylvanas is because the 4 damage board clear. Getting above 4 health is tough and shamans you can get under if they cant clear.
I don't 100% follow that last bit, but I get your general meaning. Hmm. Have you considered this charming fellow? https://www.hsguru.com/card/120452

It's a shame he doesn't buff himself. Perhaps that's a guard against Murloc Paladin getting too strong again, I don't know.
Climbing in diamond so this deck has some legs. Would say close to tier2 probably tier 3.
The murloc could have a chance just hard to decide what to cut.
Hah 💯% agreed mate, whilst spending WAY too much time on different Shredslop builds, I can confidently say that for me, that question is easily the hardest to answer.
Yes, now and then you roll a six and devise a cunning method of making some card serve multiple functions, thus allowing you to avoid cutting one, but mostly it's a case of painful guesstimating and then even more painful play testing, which seems to revel in showing you just how bad your guestimation skills are...
And finally you find out that you've accidentally invalidated Elise and so you have to start over... 😃

im 2-2 with it. phenomenon and bucket or skyscreamer eggs could probably be replaced for overheat and more nature spells
Too many 3 drops. Got to remember warriors and DKs will blast you out on turn 5.
Paradox would be good if you could also buff it on 3
Not alot or targeting damage on 3 most is on 2
And plays right into salvanas
Or mixologist potion
General rule is health above 2 on turn 3 and above 4 on turn 5
Sorry if I'm being slow but what do you mean exactly? Are you contrasting the health of your minions? If so, isn't your board just dead in both cases? It seems to me like you've lost both games?
Just showing that the list above using 3 drops would be too slow. Vs the DK i made sure my health was above the corpse count going into turn 5 for corpse explosion. And vs the warrior i was protected against brawl or invader plus a 0 mana spell. Warrior game they brawled me and I still had 14 attack on board.
I know this is almost certainly a nonstarter but have you considered https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/cards/a-f-kay/ ? If you can coin her out on T4 and, say, your Sky screamer has just proc'd or you have eggs (i.e. you have several minions that can't attack this turn anyway), she would get their health up to ~5+ , maybe they don't have enough resources^ to clear by then?
^ i.e. Sufficient corpses or a spell to kill off their Hostile Invader?
