i noticed that as a witch I still need to pay attention to the combos to have an easier time if i dont wanna grind op gear
im not going minions im going bone blood mage
i need to use pinning (from bone cage) to keep enemies still and keep them away from me
i have contagion and flame wall + raging spirits for AoE, bone cage as my "main" skill, bone wave to summon more minions and bone blast on my wand
the big downside to the build is getting one-shot (the executioner one-shot me once)
this is tthe setup
the game is much more slow though, and you need to work to deal with crowds and to learn the patterns to not get fucked, but you can still grind shit
also +1 skill level is op as usual
I get a bunch of garbage from full clearing, and it feels like they want us to chase rolled weapons more than poe1
you can also always go back to previous areas for the minibosses since getting a higher level skill gem from a trash mob later lets you clear them much faster for rare gear
which is not poe1-like but yknow

i do think that they want us to use the "default" attacks and skills a lot though
like bone blast is pretty good, it even bleeds

- there is actually way more support skills than the game will originally want to show you. trying to support a fire spell will show you a gem that gives you 25% more fire damage and a bunch of empty "Coming soon" entries. but you can actually get more fire supports, they're just hidden - uncheck "Show recommended" at the bottom left and read through the gems, see what fits. by default this new page will only show you gems that work with your spell.
- pick every single piece of gear that has a socket and salvage them for Artificer's Orbs so you can add sockets to good items you have. if you stack enough it can give you crazy resistances

but yeah 32% attack speed, 37% increased dmg, and like >150 life from 6 points
