So i talked to rogier first, i KNOW i have activated the stain a few times. He would say nothing. I go down. Kill the monster, then do stain. Then go back to Rogier, and the quest has been started. So you HAVE to kill the monster to start it

Fia would NOT give me the weathered dagger no matter who i talked to and no matter how many times i did

I didn't get the dagger either but still managed to progress through Fia's questline and get the rune

Yes i let fia hold me. There was no story progression. Rogier didnt die. I didnt get his armor or anything. He sat there and sold stuff to me. Each time i talked to fia she only let me hold her. This is WITH the bloodstain activated but the konster not killed

Had to go back and kill the monster, then i could talk to rogier about the quest and fia would let me talk in secret
