yeah it's the 3d model i had to make so that i could make the 2D assembly drawing for the cable. That drawing will be set up to be 3 assembly drawings in actuality. Most of my modeling and drafting is done in SolidWorks.

I have not mastered the skill of waiting for paint to dry

I used oils when I painted paintings, but that was looong ago. For my customs work, I used enamels for decades, but eventually switched over to acrylics.

I still do black leather detailing with flat black enamel. It looks exactly like leather if done right.

Alien Flora: From my Time Corps universe. S'int felin't are native to Cesta Centauri. They grow in shallow water, and the five leaves sit at the surface and ripple it to attract prey. When the knob is touched, the leaves snap upward, grabbing the prey and dragging in underwater to drown and be digested.
Filaani harvest the bulbs for their medicinal value, as well as an ingredient in a traditional perfume.

Day 31 definitely didnt forget about this until i was in bed brainstorming for a thing for my writing project, where the idea is that vases are highly popular in a particular part of the world for visual storytelling or general art pieces by hollowing a hole in the middle and sculpting shapes to attach in there. so here, sunrise/sunset is displayed through the use of metalworking, the mountains being intentionally rougher lumps sharpened to form jagged peaks. The vase itself would usually be painted or studded with gems or tiny ceramic/glass tiles; the main focus is traditionally what’s in the open space. If I weren’t half-asleep it’d be a lot more detailed and polished but you get the gist of it

Weapon, by definition, is a device intended to inflict bodily harm or physical damage. A "harmless weapon" is philosophically an oxymoron, therefore nothing comes to mind immediately. I have, however, thought about this a bit more and it clicked to me that a rose is as harmless and as lethal as anything can get.

Sometime ago when I was doodling some digital art using my mouse. I had created an abstract digital art of a rose that I wish to present here under today's art pact category.

Day 33: another worldbuilding crumb 🎉 mages often keep wisps at their desks in these enchanted globes, as these tiny spirits are both a source of magical energy to draw upon and a pretty source of light that doesn’t need to be refueled or re-lit. The ethics of sticking them in a glass ball are debatable Wisps are one of the few entities that can be legally summoned, and it takes remarkably little effort to do so compared to any other summoning.

First iteration sketch of the ‘wyrmwhale’, a colossal creature that is neither wyrm nor whale but in fact a mean af sea monster that battles for territory and eats other sea monsters. Naturally, it’ll undergo some design changes (spikes and shoulder placement likely) but it’s a good starting point

Okay, but then How do I actually learn to rebuild and decide on joints and proportions?

I don't know how to "decide" anatomy

Once you study it you understand the patterns and how it should function, so you should be able to mess around with things and have them remain plausible.

I think you already have a good grasp on proportions and dynamics honestly. Like the anatomy is stylized but sound. Is there anything particular you’re looking to improve upon?
The advice I was always given is to practice realism first, get down all the basics and fundamentals of how limbs work and move and what they look like at different angles, and then focus on expanding that into a style with exaggerations and whatnot.

I’m still in the practicing realistic anatomy stage, tbh. I like to screw around and doodle fun things but human and animal anatomy is what I put most of my effort into

It's like taking apart various machines apart to see how the wiring works and then inventing something new. Whatever the invention is will still be ruled by the same things as those previous machines you dissected, you're just changing parts of it to better suit your desires

Study limbs from multiple things if you're deciding on anatomy of something without irl references, or else study multiple angles and layers of limbs from your reference animal. If you're drawing a fox, look at a bunch of pictures and angles of foxes, look at their skeletal structure, and then simplify to basics. Draw lines for the skeleton, exaggerate what you'd like but not beyond function, then build the meaty bits
