My main save is on normal and I think I have about 1500h totally on the game but I still have a lot of fun, minmaxing frigates and ships, trying to find cool ships and wingmen, exploring other people builds and looking for the perfect planets

Protip for those possibly new to nms this expedition: if you're struggling in the beginning, prioritize fixing your terrain manipulator. Dig a hole until your environmental protection stops going down. That will give you time to think about what you need to do :3

Highly recommend this advice. It's a very fast and easy repair - and that gives you a nice safe space to make a plan. Or you can just get that mandatory death out of the way immediately, too.
