The mission will have you use the galaxy map to go to a purple system with a icon matching the quest, paw print in this case.

Land on a planet and let the air fauna spawn in and use the quick menu to throw pellets crafted in your exosuit and this might take some patience so they get low and easier for you to interact then fed and add them as a companion.

You might have to go to more than one planet

Idk man, something is off, jumped to another system, interacted with all terminals reading the tablets previously but no milestone 🤦

You literally have a checklist on screen of what you have to do. The key things are 3 terminals but to complete the second you have to get a file from one of the blue tablets laying around(which one has it is random but should be found before reaching the 2nd terminal if you don't miss it) and you have to explore every room...that typically includes a bunch to dead end optional rooms marked with purple signs above the doors, these are connected to the large rooms.

Yes...starting with the main save lets you do things you just can't do otherwise...send items and import ship and multitool into the expedtion, bring items back to the main save from the expedition that you just can't if you are playing a separate save, etc. Why wouldn't you play it from a main save?

Tendrils can be completed on Timestamp III planet, Giumf VII (Kobaya-Odgo XIV system), even though the mission tooltip says there's no infested planets in the system. Look for Titan Worm Burrow red icons on your compass/visor.

when I did this, some players had helpfully put bases on the planet with them so I headed straight there

I would not go there without a big stack of life support gels or at least lots of oxygen. Those are things I import into the expedition typically. So when I went deep to the bottom of the ocean I had a stack of 200 LS gels. Even tough I spent most of the time in the nautilon I still ended up burning through something like 20 gels before I was done.

I tend to use both gels and batteries liberally. I bring lots into expeditions specifically so I never have to worry about them. So I am not generally trying to rush things to conserve batteries. My main save can make them in mass. I have automated pretty much all resources.

I had (so far) one bug: the "dock at the space station, then the ship moves backwards, leaves you outside a half rendered space station with no collision in case you try to spacewalk there, only way to recover is go to another system" bug, and it's sure annoying

Expedition 20 Breach review - Annoyingly fun...I liked the Aquarius (Arcadia) bossfight at the end

I now have PTSD of the Debris Rangefinder because honestly fuck that crafting requirement

Oh I bring in lots of things...all kinds of exosuit technology, survival supplies, runaway mould to refine into nanites, stasis devices for units, etc. I rarely end up using all of that but what I don't use I typically bring back...and if I don't because I want to bring other stuff from the expedition then my main save can easily replace the lost items, no big deal. But yeah...I bring loads of stuff. I make full use of the whole system to import things into the expedition. All 8 tech slots and all 24 item slots.

What I do is I set up all the items and materials needed for expeditions in two ships...then I take things in from one(along with importing the ship into the expedition), so if I somehow forget or procrastinate on replacing the items taken into an expedition I have another set ready to go...but I never forget or procrastinate on that...at least I haven't so far. First things I do after returning from expeditions is claiming the rewards on my main save and making sure all are in order and then I replace all the lost or used items and set up that ship to be ready for another expedition with materials and and all.

Metamorphosis can be done at multiple planets. Look for Vile Brood Detected on resource lists, then use your visor to look for Juicy Grub red icons. For example, Rihamsto Alpha in Kobaya-Odgo XIV would work.

I'm back and I found the problem with the derelict milestone, make sure the mission "Lost in Space" is selected under the log which tracks your progress, otherwise, you won't unlock the derelict milestone.

Selecting only the derelict expedition milestone won't give you the milestone, I did like 6 or so derelict before 🤦 finally got it.

Stuck trying to find a system near the last timestamp to find storm crystals. So far none of the systems I've been to near the last point, have storm crystals.

Gas giants...always have storm crystals and they are always on and the galaxy map will tell you if a system has a gas giant so they're easy to find too.

When I was at a gas giant, it said there were no storm crystals detected in that system.

Storm Crystals are on planets with Activated minerals; in this case look for a Planet with Activated Quartzite, land, look for rock formations with a little blue in them and wait for a storm to activate them.

They're look like yellow lighting bolts in a storm with the analysis visor switched on

Thanks for the info. I just claimed the area because it was on a crimson red Paradise planet that I thought was pretty and wanted to be able to find the planet in the future. I went to the screenshot screen and have the planet coordinates if I ever want to go back to it after the expedition. I assume the planets will still be there, correct?

There's another what if I've noticed in this expedition. What if you have no ability to control your location. I've been randomly falling through the floors in stations and having to use a save edit to change my location, warping by black hole to other systems when I'm standing inside a station interacting with items, or from inside my corvette while putting things in storage. Sometimes I even warp without my ship. So I'm going to have to vote no on that new feature. I hope they eventually remove it.

If you started the expedition from an existing save, you can put parts in the expedition terminal when you've completed the milestones and collected the rewards. When you are on your primary save you can copy your current expedition ship and multitool for nanites.

do you want chromatic metal? you can refine quartzite into it (or potentially buy from a trade terminal in a space station, if ultra lazy)
do you want the atlantid drive? you'll get a pre-packaged atlantid drive as a reward from an objective, install that to access purple systems, you do not need to make one from scratch
you shouldn't need indium at all for this expedition

Switch 2 on 6.10, S2 update applied, multiplayer on/off doesn't affect it, docked/undocked doesn't affect it, left the anomaly and relanded , warped to a new system, I left it running docked while I had my lunch, no dice, restarted a few times, same, started a new game and it says the next expedition is coming soon.
