The very first thing I did on this expedition was dismantle that boltcaster upgrade they give you, since it makes sentinels scale so it's actually a downgrade.

Every space station has a terminal where you can buy the wiring looms. Go upstairs on the right side (facing the back of the station).

Upstairs on the left side is a teleporter.

you just get the plans for it; you'd have to disassemble a upgrade that has wiring loom in it to get the piece if you can't buy it at a terminal

I ended up making one because i forgot mine; just get up to the to point where you get the Atlantid drive then if you have enough nanites you can warp one system, call the anomaly, pay 750 nanities to get up to pass v3 (each level is 250), and then find a E class system to mien emeril from to make the pass with one microprocessor.

You can easily get nanities from using the mining beam on whispering eggs on the abandoned buildings and then refining those after you avoid the monstrosities

Is Door To The Stars bugged? I shot up the two "Component Housings" and got some corvette parts, but the mission won't complete.

If you look at the planets around the gas giant on the Discoveries tab, they LOOK like they have water, and they look like they have water from space, but when you get close there is no water on the surface, however you can fly around and use your scanner to find crystal sulfide below the surface.

That said, you could just warp to a water system and probably find them easier.

If you need deep oceans then go to purple systems, if you need regular oceans look at non purple system with the descriptor "water" in orange text on the galactic map.

For future expeditions you should play them from your main save. Then you can take in resources you'll be able to refine for nanites in the expedition and use those nanites to import a good ship from your main save so you don't have to fly a hunk of junk for long.

Then decided to go to some gas giant system looking for the anomalous flying pet but also had to land on every moon and things can get out of hand.

At the first rendezvou point, IIRC its an abandonned outpost. Shoot an egg outside and the biological horrors will come after you. Stand on the roof of the base and they can't bite you 😉

The overpressure's a problem, but it's not an instant problem. If you're willing to just recharge everything every 15 to 30 seconds or so, you can get some cyto-phosphate.

Also, it might help you to change your difficulty settings for this occasion. You can turn down Survival Elements and Survival Difficulty and maybe get longer or not have a problem.

You can make enemies do less damage, turn off predators, and lower Life Support/Hazards problems in this expedition. Some of that might help.

Might end up lowering enemy damage myself. Tried on a Stone Guardian just for grins ... there were no grins. There was only swift death.

Seems like Rihamsto Alpha (R3 system) is a convenient place for grubs ... except I haven't found any land. Anyone know offhand if that planet has any actual land? Or are the grubs all underwater? I've found nothing but toxic ocean there.

Once you're on the planet, or autopiloting slowly just above the surface, you can use your scanner. If you're on the milestone, it'll automatically search for Titan Worm Burrows for you. They have red icons with white curved arm-like things. As you approach them, spiny tendrils should come up from the ground and shoot at you. Kill those for your goal.

Oh! Just go to the nearest space station and use the teleporter to go back to R2 or R3. Teleporter's in the room upstairs ahead and to the left.

R2 was Konamis, R3 was Kobaya-Odgo XIV. You have to have landed on the space station to have it listed.

Yeah, it's apparently a thing in Abandoned Mode, but I haven't seen one in a shop so far myself.

Hm. Wiki says they're sometimes a reward from Nexus missions, too. Those might be running even in Abandoned mode.

I think it's save-editing or checking a lot of shops. You could try putting one on a base. I'm not sure what determines that inventory -- for all I know, you could put up, check, take down, restore a trade terminal until you get the thing available.

Maybe just pulse around and hope to get lucky.

Here's what i would go to options > network and turn off multiplayer, warp to a different system and then back to the system and back to the derelict freighter especially if it's in your mission log and see if that works.

If not i would suggest editing your save file(if on pc) to add the scanner module and then do the derelict freighter with multiplayer off just so your save your sanity

Haha, I went blindly into one and it was the worst possible infesstation...the pulsing sacks with insects everywhere, large rooms had three or four of them too. But by that point I already used the device to find it and I wasn't going to get another, not in abandoned mode, so I just had to deal with it. Ended up bursting pretty much every one of those sacks. Luckily I had some personal shields upgrades and the insects weren't really getting through my shields but that was long and annoying.

It was supposed to give you a pre-packaged one. If you didn't get it, you can get indium by going to those buried caches and digging them up. When you get the salvageable item, sometimes you get indium from it. And file a bug.

Metamorphosis can be done at multiple planets. Look for Vile Brood Detected on resource lists, then use your visor to look for Juicy Grub red icons. For example, Rihamsto Alpha in Kobaya-Odgo XIV would work.

You can copy your original save's ship and multitool to the expedition when you get to the Anomaly, after the first warp. Costs nanites. Going the other way, you copy whatever your current ship and multitool from the expedition into your main save. Costs nanites.
