Hey, I don’t have much experience with the game. Can I still play the expeditions, or are they more suited for experienced players?

I'm pretty new to the game and found the two expeditions I've done so far (Aquarius and cursed) aren't too difficult. Might be time consuming if you don't bring a lot with you ( I never brought anything) but definitely doable

No. Just active ones. You can get old expedition rewards via save editing or game mods if you're on PC. There are details about it pinned in #nms-modding where you can inquire more

• Space Anomaly Teleporter (teleport to a Featured base, check Log tab; retry with different base if needed);
• Warping (e.g. 4 1000LY distance warps in the same direction, but contrary to Current Mission destination in galaxy map);

After getting far away enough, be sure to give the game a few seconds to recalculate distances, then check Log tab.

There's a:

• 80% chance that Resonator will be an Inverted Mirror Resonator;
• 20% chance that Resonator will be an Echo Locator Resonator.

Approach and aim at the Resonator to see what it will drop when destroyed.

Tips for finding them:

• 1) Try to locate Dissonance Resonators - some of them will be guarded by large quadrupeds.
• 2) Alternatively, you can start a fight by just looting a Gravitino Ball, and escalate wanted level to level 3, when large quadrupeds can spawn.

Tips for taking them out:

• 1) Install Paralysis Mortar+Primary weapon of choice(+3 S-class upgrades). Locate and approach a corrupted quadruped. If there's any floaters around kite them away first (mine something nearby so that they'll go investigate, leaving you alone with the quadruped). Shoot Paralysis Mortar at quadruped to stun it, re-applying stun as needed, while shooting primary weapon.
  Bonus: Unlock and install Voltaic Amplifier from Space Anomaly/Multi-tool research NPC for +21% damage vs stunned entities.
• 2) Use Minotaur+Minotaur Cannon.
• 3) From the air, especially if your current ship has hovering capabilities, for example using Rocket Launcher.

There are two different derelict freighter events in the game.

Not Boardable, if the derelict...
• is broken into large pieces, like the lower freighter model in this image
• has no landing pads by the bridge

If there are nearby cargo pods, you may shoot them for materials, which it will trigger pirates.

The issue with Breach Three for me at least is that the mission just doesn't seem to be activating properly. There's no mission progress text in the bottom right, there's no pulsing inventory slots or crafting recipe. So because the mission isn't properly active, the portal doesn't see the mission as active and thus doesn't open the mission-specific interaction.
Is this what everyone else is experiencing?

Instead of making a new save and transferring the expedition rewards, I used the same expedition file to continue as a new game+ thus keeping the units and nanites.
