Honestly I just went to a random planet and it happened to be the first structure I saw, so maybe it's more difficult using the Signal Booster. I'd say make sure the quest is selected when you interact with it. For other objectives there were two options, one to find a random building and one to find the building that my current quest wanted

With the quest selected I saw an icon telling me where to go on the galaxy map. Worth noting I had an indium drive so I could go to blue star systems. Mostly I just went to each planet until the quest popup told me it had synthetic life.

All the expeditions have their own difficulty settings. For example in this one the damage you take is low, and the damage you do is high. Whereas the settings in the previous expedition were normal/normal.

This is also why you don't perma-die in expeditions (unless you hack the expedition settings file)

Select the quest and look at your galaxy map, should be icons telling you where to go. I had an iridium drive at the time so it may have been easier for me to find ones that were close by

For anyone wondering how to get to 1.6ku:
Use the airless planet you just found to your advantage. You can easily get up to the needed height by spamming space.

Starting with: You know how last expedition, where we started it from within an existing save, and we could put items in that... thing... in the Nexus (my brain is getting so bad at remembering words) in our main save, then in the expedition save you can pick those items up?
Can you do that this time too?

i'll have to check when the anomaly turns up, compared to when the nanite milestone shows up. But, u can always do the larval core milestone before any other ones. The larval core milestone I completed first bc the eggs were on the planet i spawned on

however i'll have to check which milestone gives you the personal refiner, but i think that's before the anomaly anyways, i'm opening nms in a few mind anyways so i'll lyk soon
