I want to start the expedition tonight with my friend. Is it over because we are phase 5/5? Or do I need to do every phase myself? How does it work?

Also, i'm not starting from scratch because I already have a save. If a friend join me and its his first time playing, can he play on a new save?

Each phase has set of tasks. When you complete whole set you will unlock cosmetic rewards. You can do tasks in any order. Each phase has additional task that requires whole community to contribute to complete it. If both have expedition save , exchanged friend codes, you should be able to join sesion of your friend. Or he yours if you are already in game

I would start from the Anomoly on my main save. There's nothing but benefits for doing so because you can get a copy of that ship and gun. Also, at the end the money and Nanites will transfer back to your main save to aid in that progress.

Those of you who don't know you can duplicate tech and the special tech from the new ship by means of the new expedition method you can use it to duplicate ship tech and multitool tech by taking a ship or multitool you want to copy to your main save and putting the tech you want to duplicate into it then switching to main save then coping it you can repeat this forever you just need a different ship or multitool every time

Step 1 on expedition save take a ship or multitool you want to copy onto main save and put any tech you want to copy on it

Step 2 switch to primary save after creating a restore point

Step 3 copy ship or multitool veia the expedition terminal in the anomaly

Repeat steps as many times as you want but every time you do it its important it's a different ship or multitool being copied every time or else it won't work

This can work forever and the only limit to how many tech modules can be copied is the number of slots in the ship or multitool

This method can be used to copy the exclusive pulse drive module from the starborn runner

Basically, the expedition > main save copy, allows you to copy each MT or ship you have on the expedition one time (as long as the expedition save is still active). So you can use each ship/MT you have on the expedition to send tech to main save, and because the ship/MT/tech are not consumed in any way on the expedition, you can just do it as many times you want as long as you have ships to spare on the expedition and nanites to copy on main save.
You just need to change the MT/ship and techs you want to be the active one on the expedition, save and go to the main save to copy it.

And only if you got that stuff (or copied that stuff) in the expedition

I have always had some crashes on switch.
But it keeps getting worse with each update.
They almost fix it so there's no crashes and it looks good graphically. Then they update it and all the textures won't load in. Then they fix that and it's non stop crashing. Then they fix that and I can't make new saves anymore.

It's never ending issues over here.

A bit late but if your switch game crashes all the time, send your freighter to another system. If it stabilises, reset the freighter.

I did notice that sending away my freighter helps some times so I just stopped using it all together

You can get the sentinels angry by shooting the space station. Remember to move quite far away to let the ships spawn. Otherwise they’ll spawn infinitely.

Kill the interceptors until there are 5 little stars in the top right corner. At that point, a really big dreadnought will spawn. Shoot the 4 spiky balls to get rid of the shield and then chip away at the hull

***The wave 5 “boss” on land is a walker, and in space it’s the dreadnought that drops an AI frag

I did my 25 on the ground with a little base to duck in and just killed one, let them calm down killed the new recruit who showed up to take their place, repeat.

Just select the interceptor mission and follow the indicator in space, or, if you’re in the wrong system, in the galaxy map.

It's easier to fight in space though, because if you hit the atmosphere envelope you can reset the alarm level. Either fight in the ground or miles from any planet. Never Capital hunt in low orbit.

Yes, I did find a planet but locating a ship is difficult, flying around the hostile planet looking for a needle in a haystack.

Could be any number of reasons: fewer players since it isn't the weekend, might have required more research as a whole, angry Sentinel won't leave people alone on this planet so it is harder to take the time to research, and finally... It offers you the option to turn in and complete because research is only optional. Maybe some people just turned it in and are done...
