question about starting a new save for the expedition, once your done and your save gets converted to a normal save, what happens? like how do you start off after the expedition? do you stay in the expedition systems or get ported to a random system?

You don't need to extend the view of the systems if you have the conflict scanner installed to see a pirate system.
(Also the filter can be used to show the tier 3 and pirate systems as red)

You stay where you are, but you are put back in the non expedition pool as far as seeing players and joining groups

The game is converted to a normal, or survival save based on which expedition it was.
Then you continue playing as normal. You aren't moved

If no, will that stuff get automatically sold, or should I sell it all first?

I remember a while back there was an expedition to give polo somnal dust and a community quest that was stuck at tier 3 because everyone wanted to farm the S class upgrades.

I donated 5,000 somnal dust per day.
I had like 350 signal scanners on that save, and when the expedition ended we just barely made it to like 10% of tier 4.

I was SO mad

2. Sweetroot (doesn’t matter) —> Processed Sugar
3. Processed Sugar + Refined Flour —> Sugar Dough
4. Sugar Dough + something else —> Biscuit

Ok so I just ran out grabbed
1 Sweetroot
1 Heptaploid Wheat

I put the wheat in the refiner and got the flour
Then I put the sweet root in and got the sugar
Then I combined the 2 and it worked for me.
I assume that you did all of that. Several times.
I tried both orders sugar on top or bottom both work.

The only thing I can think off is lag or something from the expedition RV systems. Im not sure if its the amount of bases, comm balls or what, but sometimes, Ive had to press refiner button a good 10 to 15 seconds before it would open up in RV systems. I would possibly try using the Nutrient Processor in a quieter system

does it get deleted after the expedition finishes?

If you started a new save, it will convert to a normal save after all the milestones are completed.

If you started from an existing save, you go back to that save.

I'm having difficulty with completing rendezvous 5 research bonus objective and I've completed it by revealing all the plants, minerals and creatures and it's only saying I've done 76% for this objective, is this some weird bug as without this it's not letting me complete the expedition

what you'd be able to do would be to finish and end the expedition run, at the cost of not getting the rewards from phase 5 opt milestone, if you had started it from an existing save via anomaly

I have had much better luck finding the disonance resonators, they have about 20% chance of having the locator - just get near and mouse over the midsection, what they will drop will be displayed

this might not be exclusive to the expedition, and i know ive had this issue before, however

Im on the "inspect a sunken freighter logs" part of the expedition. Found one, but someone else had already looked at it i guess, and couldnt inspect the logs.

went to a different planet, and i get the "cant summon exocraft, no summoning station in this system" which is untrue, as I am in the same system as I was before. but i thought whatever, ill build another station. i am basically standing on the new summoning station i just built and I;m still getting the "cant summon, no station in system" notification. Any idea whats going on here?

I'd suggest returning to the first planet, flying to a different location and finding another freighter location.
