Several have claimed that after the milestones have completed, the corresponding egg was able to be picked up from the QS vendor when you return to your primary save.

They still can't be physically transfered, but apparently the vendor will give you one.

I think the initial confusion is the fact that it's a milestone reward and not phase, which historically didn't unlock anything with the QS vendor.

Phase 1 and 2 was directly claimable for me on day 1 and 2. This morning was Phase 3 claimable and Phase 4 started. Do not think that this was in first 12 hours of expedition as I played from wednesday till today 20hours in total 🙂
With current speed do I think that phase 4 will be done tomorrow morning and phase 5 wednesday which would be 1 week of the expedition. Not that bad of an estimation for a 4-5 weeks window.

If you have an Exocraft, one of the radar settings scans for those. That's how I was able to find them to kill all the "horrors" to get a title in my main game save.

Ah, it says you need to also have the Exocraft Signal Booster Upgrade. It might also be named the Radar Power Resonator, now. I'm reading where someone said it was renamed a while ago. Actually, scratch that. The entry for the "Radar Ampliflier" specifically says it scans for Abandoned Buildings. So, you need that upgrade for your Exocraft Radar. So, you need the Exocraft Radar, plus the Radar Amplifier upgrade for it to scan for abandoned buildings.

Some gee-whiz info for new folks doing the Expedition, since Inventory Space is usually an issue. Been playing the game for years, but only found this out last month. If you're hurting for inventory space, but you have a Nutrient Processor on you, you can use it to store some items. It has its own 50 slot self-contained inventory storage for storing "ingredients." However, some of the things it considers "ingredients" are also different minerals and resources you find along the way. If you're able to transfer it to the Nutrient Processor storage inventory, the item will be lit up so you can tell. Once you're done transferring items over, you can pick up the Nutrient Processor again like normal, so it's in your regular inventory pack. Might make some difference for folks hurting for storage space.

Buy a bunch of suspicious tech for the box. Open and cash in the nanites when you get the stuff in the expedition. You can do the same with units. Bring over some expensive items and sell them over there.

Hey, its the first time i will do an expedition. In the last one i started it, but did not want to play it becouse i thought i can play it with my main character to get the cool items there. Is this in every expedition, that it creates a new character when starting it? If yes, could people before the omega update have thier expedition loot only have on these multible characters, and never all on one?

In this one, you can go to the expedition terminal on the Anomaly on your main save to start an expedition, instead of making a new save. From there, you can bring some upgrades and materials with you, and make copies of your multitool and ship to use in the expedition (at the cost of a few thousand nanites).

Yup. So once everything finishes, go back to your expedition save. Claim everything and spend all the QS on non-consumables (base parts, helms, etc). Then return to your main save and they'll be marked "Available" to claim without buying it again.

You should be able to save after having loaded in again (jump in and out of ship or save point/beacon). Your old saves should remain functional in the process though. Just perhaps missing some bases or specific parts or some building issues, that can be resolved in most cases.

@hushed heart running through the expedition is helping a ton. I just don't want to make a nice base and maybe get a nice freighter or maybe a pirate dreadnaught and then "lose' them when expedition is over.

You won't be able to transfer that stuff back to your main save but if you started the expedition from the main menu, the expedition save will convert to normal mode when it's over and you keep everything

oh forgot to mention earlier that you should be able to dupe any good tech you have on your main save by using nanites to summon your main ship in the expedition, moving that tech to a new ship, and then copying that ship into your main save
